The world press is currently so preoccupied with the war in Iraq and the upcoming U.S. Presidential elections that they are missing one of the most important news stories of our day.  What am I talking about?  Well, there have been some new developments in Jerusalem that could once again make resolution of the Arab-Israeli conflict the top priority of the international community.  And that would mean that the Rapture and rise of the Antichrist and False Prophet are at hand.

Five years ago Islam started another construction project on the Temple Mount.  What makes this one so different from all the others that have taken place in the past is that it is so divisive and potentially explosive   The goal of Islam is to build the largest mosque in the Middle East underneath the Al Aqsa Mosque on the Mount.

The first problem with this project is that the Temple Mount is sacred ground to Christians, Jews, and the God we worship.  Islam is showing no respect to our faiths by constructing another Mosque on this site.  Scripture strictly forbids pagan religious activity on God's Holy Mount.

Secondly, the underground excavation is now causing visible damage to the ancient site.  A major section of retaining wall has already collapsed.  Keep in mind the Temple Mount is a rectangular platform structure built thousands of years ago by Israel's King Solomon to support God's Temple.  Who knows what Israelis would do if Islamic construction brings down their sacred Western Wall.

To make matters worse the Palestinians have been depositing their excavation material in rubbish dumps around the city.  This is a concern because mixed in with the dirt and rocks Israelis have found unique artifacts from the Jewish Temple time.  It appears the artifacts survived two thousand years just to be illegally excavated and purposely smashed and dumped by Muslims.

Israeli law protecting historical and religious monuments requires builders to grant Israeli or international engineers, historians or scholars, access so they can inspect this type of work.  Yet no inspections have been allowed because Arafat and the Palestinian mufti of Jerusalem assert that the Temple Mount is a Muslim site and no Jewish Temples ever existed.  And the Palestinians are doing everything in they can to perpetuate this ridiculous claim.

The Arabs have even started clearing the vast network of ancient Jewish cisterns under the Mount in preparation for filling them with so called "Holy Water" from Mecca.  The Israelis have been very tolerant.  But I doubt they will let Muslims bring water from an anti-Semitic terrorist nation like Saudi Arabia onto God's Holy Mount.

Few people know what is really going on here.  The Temple Mount is more than just a valuable historical site, it is critical to the fulfillment of last days prophecy.  According to scripture Jesus Christ, the Messiah, will physically return to Jerusalem to literally set up His kingdom on earth and rule over the whole world from the Temple Mount for a period of a thousand years.

Satan knows the important roll the Temple Mount will play in last days prophecy.   That is why the devil is using the Palestinians and Islam to try and control the site.

And this brings us to a key point which illustrates how evil works.   The claim by Muslims that Jerusalem contains Islamic holy sites is nothing more than a cleverly contrived lie.  How so?

Islamic clerics say that Mohammed ascended to heaven to receive the Koran in 621 A.D. from the "Rock" which is now covered by the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount.  But that is not what the Koran says.  The Koran literally says Mohammed ascended to heaven from a Mosque at the farthest region of Islam.  That is significant because there were no Mosques or Muslims in Jerusalem in 621 A.D., only Christians and Jews.  Caliph Omar did not even conquer Jerusalem and claim the Temple Mount for Islam until 638 A.D., seventeen years later.

Therefore it is clear that Islamic clerics only started associating the Temple Mount with Mohammed's supposed ascension after they realized the importance of the Temple Mount to Christians and Jews.  Their purpose was not to protect an Islamic religious site, but rather to desecrate a Judeo-Christian Holy site which is of great importance to last days prophecy.

Most Jews believe their Messiah will not come until they build a third Temple on the exact spot where the previous two stood.   Christians believe Jesus will return to the Mount of Olives and pass through the Eastern Gate onto the Temple Mount where a third Temple will be standing.

That may sound strange considering Muslims also believe in the Second Coming of Jesus.  But you must understand that there is no place for reason in Islam.  And the image of Jesus created by Islam is very different from the historical and scriptural Jesus of Christianity.  Muslims believe that when Jesus returns He will convert the world to Islam.  They do not believe Jesus was the Son of God and they do not believe that He died for our sins.  Strangely, the Koran does not even talk about salvation.

Armed with this knowledge Muslims decided to try and keep the Temple from ever being built and the Messiah from entering the Eastern Gate.   They constructed the Dome, claimed the site of Mohammed's ascension had finally been found, the rock, and they walled up the Eastern Gate.   And to make doubly sure Messiah would not enter the Eastern Gate they desecrated the ground in front of it with a grave yard.

But these efforts to stop the construction of the Temple and the Messiah are laughable.

Psalms 2:1-12

  1     Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
  2     The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
  3     Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
  4     He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
  5     Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
  6     Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
  7     I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
  8     Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
  9     Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
  10     Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
  11     Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
  12     Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

So here is the situation.  In 1967 Israel won the Six-Day war and captured the Temple Mount.  But the Israeli authorities disobeyed scripture, which demands they tear down the pagan sites on the Mount.  Instead they decided the southwestern end of the Mount's retaining wall, known as the Wailing Wall, was a sufficient religious monument for Jews.  The 2,000-year-old stones near the bottom are the last remnants of the Temple complex destroyed by the Romans.  So Moshe Dayan returned day-to-day control of the Temple Mount to the Islamic Wakf controlled by the Jordanians.

A Wakf is the closest thing in the Islamic world to what we would call a trust.  A Wakf is the only vehicle in Islamic culture to pass something down from one generation to the next.  With the Mount in an Islamic trust the Arabs believe they can retain control of it forever and deny the Jews access to build God's Temple.

Arafat recently wrestled control of the Temple Mount Islamic Wakf away from the Jordanians as part of his plan to secure Jerusalem for a new Philistine, I mean Palestinian, state.  And Jewish authorities did something very unexpected on August 7, 2003.  They re-asserted Israeli sovereignty over the site by opening the gate leading to the Temple Mount to Israelis.

Ariel Sharon's visit to the Mount in 2000 sparked the second intifada.  Now any Jew can go up to the Mount.  They can even perform an animal sacrifice if they so wish.  And how do you think the intolerant Muslims would react to something like that?

So what does all this mean? 

John's Take

Well, Israel and the Palestinians are headed for a confrontation over Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.  This is not a new problem.  But it certainly is one that needs to be addressed soon.  People are looking for someone to step forward and take charge of the situation, bring peace to the world, a savior of mankind.

Scripture calls this imposter the Antichrist and the world will be requesting his services shortly.  And he comes with a side-kick called the False Prophet.  And Satan will give these two the power to perform miracles to help deceive the whole-world, except a remnant.

According to prophecy the Antichrist and False Prophet will rise to power over a federation of kingdoms that once comprised the old Roman Empire.   We know that entity today as the European Union.

The Antichrist will forge a treaty in the Middle East but the world is not going to see peace.  The Beast will go out conquering and waging war in an effort to gain control of the whole world.  After three and a half years the Antichrist will break the Middle East treaty, put an end to Jewish sacrifices, and his image will be set up in the Temple, and the world will be forced to worship him and Satan.

In case you didn't notice this scenario has a catch.  There has not been a Jewish Temple for almost two thousand years.  In order for the Antichrist to desecrate a temple it must first be built.  And the Jews do not perform animal sacrifices today.  Therefore, animal sacrifices must first be reinstituted before they can be stopped.  I believe an agreement between Israel and Islam, brokered by the Antichrist, will have a provision for construction of the third Temple on the Mount.

The Palestinians want land concessions, statehood, and part of Jerusalem for their capital in exchange for peace and recognition of Israel.  We know from scripture that sovereignty over the Mount will be split between Jews and non-Jews until Messiah returns.  That means it is very likely that a Mosque and Jewish Temple will sit on the Mount during the first 42 months of Antichrist's reign.  The Antichrist will promise peace but bring war.  When the nations of the earth gather for battle in Israel then Jesus Christ will return to defend His people and His holy city. 

The significance of all this to Christians is that the conditions are right for the rise of the Antichrist.  But scripture says the Antichrist will not be revealed until Jesus Christ returns for His Church.

The purpose of the Rapture is to resurrect the dead in Christ and translate the living in Christ, removing them from this earth before God pours out His wrath on this wicked world.  God's righteous judgments in the last days are specifically intended for the unrepentant non-believing followers of the Antichrist.  God has not appointed the elect to wrath.

Therefore, the next major milestone on God's prophetic timetable is the Rapture of the Church.  There is nothing hindering the Rapture.  All prerequisites for this great event have been fulfilled.  It could happen at any time.   We need to watch and be ready.

Prime Minister Tony Blair and President Bush have simultaneously gone before the world press to announce their "Roadmap for Peace" in the Middle East.   This plan describes incremental steps leading up to the establishment of a Palestinian State by 2005.   The "Roadmap" was drafted through the joint efforts of the European Union (EU), United Nations, Russia and the United States.   I am sure Israel and the PLO participated in the drafting this so called Roadmap.

This should not come as a surprise to anyone.  We have posted several news articles on the last days homepage over the past several years about the pending two-state resolution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Tony Blair said he agrees with critics of the war for Iraq that "the road to Baghdad must lead through Jerusalem."   Prime Minister Blair went on to say that he believes that the establishment of a Palestinian State in Israel is as important as the disarming of terrorist regimes with weapons of mass destruction.

I am sorry but that is a foolish statement.   Linking the disarming of a madman and the destruction of his weapons of mass destruction with the establishment of a Palestinian State on Israeli land is ludicrous.

I praise Prime Minister Blair and President Bush for their unwavering stance on disarming Sadam.   These are true leaders with integrity and they are trying to do what they think is right.  But the problem is both of these men are not mature in the Word and they lack the proper scriptural understanding on the topic of the Middle East.

They are playing with fire and don't know it, "for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye."   I pity anyone that participates in dividing God's land to give a portion to heathens.   The only valid roadmap for Peace is one that complies fully with the expressed will of God.

You hear the term "occupied land" used as if the Jews are building settlements on Arab land.   The truth is all of Jerusalem and all of Israel belongs to God and He has given that land to the Jews.   Arabs and Palestinians are the squatters and usurpers.

Ezekiel 48:29

  29     This is the land which ye shall divide by lot unto the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their portions, saith the Lord GOD.

If Prime Minister Tony Blair and President Bush understood prophecy they would know that the world is not going to be satisfied with dividing up Israel's inheritance.   Under the leadership of the Antichrist the nations of the world will gather to try and complete the Islamic goal of pushing the Jews into the sea.

Daniel 9:27

  27     And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Yes, there is a peace treaty on the horizon for Israel.   It may or may not be the one the world is now calling a Roadmap for Peace.   According to prophecy when the final treaty does come it will be championed by the Antichrist.   The Jews will rebuild a temple on the Temple Mount and the world will think everything is just wonderful, Muslim and Jew, living side by side in God's Holy city.

But sin and righteousness will not go on for eternity.   A righteous God must judge sin. Islam is a false religion, Muhammad is a false prophet, and the Koran is a blasphemous book of lies.   What Islam, Arabs, and Palestinians need is Christ, not Israel's inheritance.

Politicians pride themselves on diplomacy and their ability to compromise to achieve a consensus.   There are a billion Muslims in the world and modern society is fueled primarily by Arab oil.   So our leaders think they can appease Islam with this new peace initiate and save the world from destruction.

Their plan is doomed for failure.   For over thirteen hundred years Islam's stated goal has been world domination.   Muslims view the globe in only two colors, one for those nations already under the direct control of Islam and those that will someday be conquered for Islam.   That is the cold fact.

John's Take

Let's not kid ourselves.   This is not a popular thing to say today but Islam is a false religion started by a terrorist and spread by acts of terror.  It is not going to go away if we just ignore it.   The war on terrorism is in reality a Crusade against the prejudices and atrocities of Islam which are once again on a march of conquest bringing terror, death, and destruction.

I know this to be true and you can bet the leaders of the free world do also.  But it would be political suicide in these last days for politicians to be honest; and say that Muslims and Islam and their acquisition of weapons of mass destruction are the real threat to world peace, not just one country like Iraq under Sadam.  People don't want to discuss the fact that the majority of the terrorists that attack America on 9-11 were from Saudi Arabia.

The most wanted terrorist in the world is a Saudi.  And the truth is an Islamic bomb in his hands is one that will eventually be used against Israel or the West.  That bomb could just as easily come from Pakistan, Iran, North Korea, or even Russia as it could come from Sadam.

The violent nature of Arabs, the descendants of Ishmael, was prophesied in scripture:   "And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren."

People have been brainwashed today to think the Crusades were a religious folly.   Once again we have let the lying liberals and Muslims rewrite history.   The Crusades were exactly what the world needed to stop the spread of Muslims and bring Europe out of the Dark Ages brought on by Islam.

That truth is born out by the fact that where ever Islamic fundamentalists take power they remove God given liberties and plunge the subjugated populous back into darkness. We have seen this in Afghanistan under the Taliban and in Iraq and Iran.

While Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia ban churches, Bibles, and crosses, the West opens our doors to the very same people that plan to destroy us.   If Islam hates the West so much then why is it they are coming to the West at an alarming rate and Mosques are springing up in every city?   The reason is they are using our democracies against us, hoping shear numbers through illegal immigration will eventually give them a majority.   In some western cities 18 out of 20 births are now Muslim.   And Mosques serve the primary purpose of recruiting terrorists and spewing out a constant stream of hatred for Jews and Christians.

The disunity in the UN over how to disarm Iraq is nothing new.   From the seventh century onward Muslims took advantage of rivalries and disunity in European Christendom to embark on one war of conquest after another.   And everywhere the armies of Islam went they murdered and tortured Jews and Christians and desecrated our Holy Sites.

And the Holy Land was always the most hotly contested land on the face of the earth just as it is today.   Muslims rode their horses into churches, turned holy sites into latrines, and transformed sacred sites into graveyards.   The Crusades were a necessary and righteous call to arms.  They stopped Islam inside the gates of Europe.

The fundamental difference between Christendom and Islam is that Christians believe in free will and self determination.   Muslims can believe whatever they want and run their countries as they see fit so long as they don't try to force their will upon others.   But 9-11 proved that modern day Islam has once again embarked on a war to conquer the West.

This is the message the UN fails to understand.   Islam will never be satisfied until every Jew and Christian is dead and the world is completely under Islamic control.   Thirteen hundred years of war has not removed the threat of Islam.

Islam already has the bomb and biological and chemical weapons.   When you combine weapons of mass destruction with an unstoppable delivery system comprised of a billion Muslims all willing to commit suicide for Islam then you have a much more dangerous situation than at any other time in history.

Saladin was not satisfied with Jerusalem.   The Islamic hordes will not be satisfied with a Palestinian state on half of Israel's land.

  2     For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
  3     For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Islam is not the only evil force in the world today.   Sin and Satan are the real problem.   Soon the Antichrist and False Prophet will take control of the European Union.   Russia, China, the EU, and many other nations will gather in the Middle East to attack that little country of Israel.

God will gather the nations for judgment.   In a final crusade our Lord will come with His armies in the clouds to defend the Jews and Israel and put an end to the heathens gathered against His people.

"Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation."

As I watch the events unfold in the Middle East I can't help but think of the similarities between Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian people and Adolf Hitler and the German people just prior to World War II.

Turn on any news program or talk show and you will hear Arab Palestinians say:

1. "Our land is under foreign occupation."
2. "We are being humiliated."
3. "We are being persecuted and terrorized."
4. "We can not defend ourselves."
5. "The Jews, Americans, and the West are the problem."
6. "Peace will come when our flag flies over Al-Quds."

(Note: Al-Quds is the Arab term for Jerusalem.)

These are nearly word for word the same lies spread by Hitler and the Nazis prior to WWII.  The frightening reality is that history is repeating itself once again.

Adolf Hitler blamed all the problems of the German people on the Jews.  Sound familiar?  According to Yasser Arafat and the Muslim world all their problems would be solved if the Jews would simply disappear.

It is a fact that the Arab Palestinians rejected an offer in 1948 to share Palestine with the Jewish Palestinians.  The United Nations recommended the establishment of two nations, Palestine and Israel, with Jerusalem remaining an open city under international jurisdiction.

But the Arabs got greedy, they did not want to share, they wanted it all.  Israel declared independence and the Arabs declared war.  The Palestinians joined their Arab neighbors in attacking the newly established state of Israel.  Their goal was to drive the Jews into the sea.

When the war started a wave of Arab Palestinians left Israel for safer ground out of the line of fire, making way for the invading Arab armies to inflict massive slaughter and destruction upon the Jews. 

But God intervened and the Arabs were slowly ground to a halt by the vastly outnumbered and outgunned Jewish settlers.  To counter this setback the Arabs started a propaganda campaign to rally their forces and turn international opinion against Israel.  They spread rumors of Jewish atrocities against Palestinian women and children. 

But the plan backfired.  The rally tuned into a rout.  The false stories of Jewish murders created a second wave of refugees.  Tens of thousands of Palestinians fled Israel in fear for their lives. 

A ceasefire temporarily halted the first conflict between the Arabs and Jews.  Under the terms of the agreement those Palestinians which left the country were not allowed to return, and rightly so.  Start a war and lose and you must face the consequences.

Unhappy with the outcome the Arabs attacked Israel again, and again, and so on, losing more land to Israel with every defeat.

But Israelis are a forgiving people. They have turned over much of the land gained in war back to the same countries that have invaded Israel over and over again.  And they continue to reach out to Arab Palestinians with offers of land in exchange for peace. 

Just recently it has become public knowledge that in the closing days of the Clinton administration Yasser Arafat once again rejected an offer of peace from Israel.  Arab Palestinians tuned down what would have given them over 90 percent of the West Bank, half of Jerusalem, and a Palestinian nation. 

This peace offer was rejected by Yasser because it contained a clause declaring the conflict between Jews and Arabs over.  Murdering innocent Jews is Arafat's whole reason for living.  If the conflict were to end tomorrow Arafat’s personal campaign of terrorism would also come to an end.  Yasser is a born killer.  He does not know how to exist in peacetime.

The fact remains Arab Palestinians refuse to drop their weapons and live in peace with Israel.  They still cling to their dream of destroying Israel and driving the Jews into the sea.  Muslims want to bring down the only democracy in the Middle East, and eventually take over the West, replacing Christendom with a world-wide Islamic empire.

Some say, what about the Palestinian Christians?  My response is there is a big difference between "saying" you are a Christian and "living" a Christian life under the influence of the Holy Spirit. 

Anyone that fights against Israel and condones the murder of innocent Jews has no part in Christ.  These are no more Christian than those in the Roman Catholic Church that murdered millions in the inquisitions, or the 17% of all "Priests" today that continue to molest children.

Because of their protracted war against Israel the majority of Arab Palestinians live in poverty in refugee camps and city slums.  They exist on international charity and aid, the bulk of which comes from American tax payers. 

Today many Arab Palestinians have no occupation, no future, and little hope.  This environment breeds desperation and violence.  The Palestinians refuse to accept any responsibility for their miserable situation.  Like the Germans of the 1930's the Arabs are blaming everything on the Jews.  The Jews and the West have become their scapegoat.

In 1930's the German economy was in shambles.  Inflation was so bad that it took a wheelbarrow of money to buy a single loaf of bread.  The Germans felt bitter and humiliated over their defeat in WWI and they became increasingly unwilling to comply with the terms of the treaty they had signed.

The times were ripe for change.  Adolf Hitler and the Nazis came on the scene and claimed they could bring in utopia if only they were free to get rid of the Jews and their influence in Europe.  The message was well received but was not enough to carry Adolf into political office.  They needed the support of German Catholics.

The Vatican, the most anti-Semitic organization on the planet, weighed into the fray in the form of Eugenio Pacelli, Cardinal Secretary of State.  In 1933 Pacelli struck an accord with Hitler that neutralized the political resistance of Germany's 34 million Catholics.

Pacelli negotiated his Reich Concordat, a Church-State treaty between the papacy and Germany as a whole, in person with Adolf Hitler.  The treaty authorized the papacy to enforce the Code of Canon Law on German Catholics and granted generous privileges to Catholic schools and the clergy.  In exchange the Catholic Church in Germany and its parliamentary political party and its many hundreds of associations and newspapers "voluntarily" withdrew following Pacelli's initiative, from all social and political action.

The abdication of German political Catholicism in 1933, negotiated and imposed from the Vatican by Pacelli with the agreement of Pope Pius XI, ensured that Nazism would be unopposed by the most powerful Catholic community in the world.

Hitler then rose to power on the back of the Vatican, turning the German populous into a mass of mindless anti-Semites.  Hitler repeated the same mantra over and over again until Germans started to actually believe it. 

What happened in Germany seventy years ago is now reoccurring with the Arab Palestinians.  Let’s take a close look at the similarities:

     1.  "Our land is under foreign occupation."

HITLER and the NAZIS:  The Treaty of Versailles, which Germany signed as a condition for peace after losing WWI, contained provisions for an armed presence of Allied forces on the west bank of the Rhine and a buffer zone on the east bank to guard against a future German incursion into western Europe.  Hitler wanted these British and French troops removed to open up a clear path for a second invasion of France.  That is in fact exactly what took place in 1940.

ARAFAT and the PALESTINIANS:  The Arabs say Israel is "occupying" the West Bank.  That fact is the West Bank does not belong to the Arabs.  God gave this land to the Jews.  It is the Palestinians that are occupying Israel’s land.  And let's not forget that it was the Arabs that started the war against the newly formed nation of Israel, a war they lost.  Israel has a legal right to all land.  Under the terms of a signed treaty Israel is allowed to establish a buffer and armed presence in the West Bank and Gaza.  But the Arabs know that if they can keep chipping away at the borders of Israel eventually the Jews will be in an indefensible position.  Then the Arabs will attack.

     2.  "We are being humiliated."

HITLER and the NAZIS:  Germany could not deal with the fact that they were paying reparations to the Allies.  They felt "humiliated" that Germans would actually have to keep their hands off of other countries land.  They fully anticipated the Allied nations to roll over and let Germany march in and take over all of Europe.  German pride was bruised when the Treaty of Versailles defanged the German war machine.  That may have been humiliating, but necessary to ensure peace in Europe.

ARAFAT and the PALESTINIANS:  The Arab Palestinians feel "humiliated" by the current state of affairs, and they should.  While they have become third generation welfare recipients plunging every town they occupy back into the dark ages, the Jews have turned a desert into paradise.  You don't see the world flocking to Gaza for a vacation.  Arab humiliation does not bring hard work to remedy the situation, but rather envy and jealousy.  The Arab have-nots want what the Jews have, but they don't want to work for it, they want to have it given to them for free or take it by force.

     3.  "We are being persecuted and terrorized."

HITLER and the NAZIS:  The Germans expected the Allies to simply forget about WWI.  Like a mass murder freed on parole, the Germans did not like the conditions of their freedom.  Any restrictions at all were viewed as persecution against the German people.  The "terror" Hitler spoke of was actually nothing more than provision taken by the Allies under the terms of the Treaty of Versailles to lock the door to Western Europe.  Hitler wanted the door left open.   Hitler also claimed Jewish business mistreated "Arians" and were responsible for the collapse of the German economy.   He was not the first to make such a baseless accusation against God's chosen people. 

ARAFAT and the PALESTINIANS:  The Arabs feel persecuted every time Israel closes their borders after a suicide attack.  They feel terrorized every time the Jews go after terrorist hideouts deep inside Arab Palestinian refugee camps.  But the Israelis have learned that every time the IDF moves into the terrorists’ safe havens the terrorists stop their attacks.  And hundreds of terrorists with blood on their hands have been captured.  The difference between Jews and Arabs can be seen in the fact that Jewish doctors treat both Arab terrorists and Jewish victims equally.  But a Jew taken to an Arab hospital in Gaza or the West Bank would not come out alive. 

     4.  "We can not defend ourselves."

HITLER and the NAZIS:  The Germans resented the Allied soldiers stationed on German soil.  But in exchange for peace the Germans had signed a treaty that established a buffer for Western Europe and put restrictions on German war related industries.  The Germans used this situation as propaganda to say they were defenseless.  But this claim was ludicrous.  Germany had been the aggressor in WWI.  And after the war Germany was not being threatened by anyone.  Hitler's secret agenda included rebuilding the Germany military for the inevitable second invasion of Europe.  The argument that Germans were defenseless was just a smokescreen to hide the rearming of the Reich.

ARAFAT and the PALESTINIANS:  The Arab Palestinians have joined their Muslim kinsman in every war against the Jews.  Like the Nazis, it is the Arab Palestinians that are the aggressors and terrorists.  Israel is the only country in the world where school children need armed patrols to protect them from Arab terrorist attacks.  Arming the Arab Palestinians would be like giving Clinton the keys to your daughter's bedroom.  These predators are wild beasts roaming too and fro seeking whom they may devour.  The Arab Palestinians are not under attack by anyone.  They cry "defenseless" so they can arm their terrorists and prepare for the inevitable Arab invasion of Israel.

     5.  "The Jews and the West are the problem."

HITLER and the NAZIS:  Hitler and the Nazis came to power in the vacuum and ashes created by the devastation of WWI.  Empowered by Satan and motivated by evil Adolf became a shadow of the Antichrist.  He unified the German masses with delusions of superiority, national pride, pageantry and spectacle.  And nothing motivates and unifies the wicked barbarian more than giving them something or someone to hate.  The Jews and the West became the enemy because "they were keeping Germany down."  Through this rational Nazi terrorism became a justifiable weapon.  But what ailed Germany in the 1930's had nothing to do with innocent Jews and the West.  Evil in the hearts and minds of violent Godless men were the real problem.

ARAFAT and the PALESTINIANS:  Arabs view the world as their property, and I do mean the whole earth.  In Islam there are only two categories of land.  Land now under Muslim control and land occupied by "infidels" that will someday be under Muslim control.  Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and therefore the immediate target of Islam.  The West supports Israel and restrains Islamic conquests and therefore has become the secondary target of Islam.  If your goal is world domination then the Jews and the West would be viewed as problems.  In a sane world Arab Palestinians that strap bombs to their bodies wrapped in metal shards and ball bearings dipped in rat poison so as to cause maximum death and suffering upon innocent people in a candy store would be considered "the problem."  After 9-11 some Americans have come to know what Israelis have been living with for half a century.  Arabs, Islam, and Muslim terrorists are the real problem. 

     6.  "Peace will come when our flag flies over all our land"

HITLER and the NAZIS:  Prior to the start of WWII Hitler made it clear that peace required the return of all land historically populated by Arians.  Hitler had a vision of uniting these "occupied" lands under the flag of Nazi Germany.  These "oppressed" people had the right to return to "Greater Germany." The West bought into Hitler’s talk.  The world idly stood by as Adolf marched his storm troopers into one country after another.  Hitler trained his troops in the Spanish Civil War, annexed Austria, seized Czechoslovakia, and invaded Poland.   But Western leaders were convinced that the Nazi appetite for land was gone.  "Peace in our time," diplomats said after visiting Hitler.   "The Nazis will defend their land to the last man but they have no intentions of invading another country.   But Hitler had a secret agenda.  Peace was being used to prepare a weak Germany for war.  Hitler was planning the conquest of Europe and Asia.  A model of a future Nazi capital, in Russia no less, was actually constructed to Hitler's plans.  The Third Reich was to be ruled by Germany but a depopulated Russia was to serve as a new Nazi state.  Giving in to Hitler's demands for more land did not bring peace.  Hitler viewed it as a weakness.  It only encouraged him to try and take it all.

ARAFAT and the PALISTINIANS:  Would the establishment of an Arab Palestinian State with half of Jerusalem as their capital finally bring peace to the Middle East? Mohammad lived by the principle of, "talk peace when you are weak, and make war when you are strong."  The Islamic world is seeking to weaken Israel’s defenses through the establishment of a Muslim state in Palestine.  Once Arab Palestinians are granted statehood they will naturally be entitled to all the rights normally granted to every independent country.  They will be able to import weapons and establish a military, with which to spearhead an invasion by Islam into Israel.   The influx of millions of Arabs through illegal immigration into the new Palestinian State will be enough to upset the balance of power in the region.  This is exactly what is behind Islam's drive for Palestinian Statehood.  When the Muslims feel strong enough they will attack an indefensible Israel and attempt to fulfill their pledge to drive the Jews into the sea.

The similarities between Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian people today and Adolf Hitler and the German people just prior to World War II are undeniable. 

Most people do not know that Arafat's real name is Mohammed Abd al-Rahman abd al-Bauf Arafat al-Qud al-Husseini.   At least that is the official name found on his Egyptian birth certificate.   That's right, Yasser was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1929.   He was not born in Jerusalem, Israel, or anywhere in Palestine.   His parents immigrated to Egypt decades before Israel was reestablished on the Promised Land.   Yasser speaks Egyptian Arabic, fought in the Egyptian army against Israel, traveled to Moscow on an Egyptian passport, and applied to an Engineering school under his Egyptian birth name.

Once again we have a similarity with Yasser and Adolf.   Hitler disguised the fact that he was born in Austria to a paper hanger.   The big secret was that Adolf was part Jewish. Likewise, Yasser hides the fact that he is Egyptian and not Palestinian.   Most of his knowledge about Palestine comes from crossing the Jordan River to ambush innocent Jewish women and children.   Even today Arafat is so unfamiliar with Israel that he needs guides to find his way around.

Arafat took on the name Yasser, which means "peace," and shortened his name.   No one knows why for sure.   Yasser has told so many lies that the truth is hard to discern.   Some say Arafat shortened his name to obscure his kinship with the notorious Nazi and ex-Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Muhammed Amin al-Husseini.   They say that when the Mufti returned from Berlin to Cairo he had a tremendous influence on his cousin, a young Yasser Arafat.   But others claim Arafat's linage back to the infamous Muslim Nazi was contrived by Arafat to gain notoriety.

Regardless, the Haj was a fanatical Hitler supporter and war criminal wanted by Yugoslavia for war crimes in Bosnia.   He even raised Muslim Waffen SS troops for Adolf.   Haj is the grandfather of the current Temple Mount Mufti. Saddam Hussein was raised in the house of his uncle Khayrallah Tulfah, who was a leader in the Mufti's pro-Nazi coup in Iraq in May 1941.   The Haj's mix of Nazi propaganda took root in Islam with many Arab leaders in power today, including the Egyptian Mohammed Arafat.

John's Take

Arafat, like Hitler, is a shadow of the Antichrist.  Both were born evil.  Arafat would implement Hitler's final solution if given a chance.

Thank the Lord for America, one nation under God, and our Allies in the West.  We defeated Nazi Germany and we are helping to keep democracy and freedom alive in the Middle East through our support of Israel. 

The Promised Land is a gift from God to the Jews.  Eternal life is God's promise to those who through faith are born again in Christ.  These two promises are established by God's ability to keep His word.

Is God able to fulfill His promises?  If the answer is yes then Israel will forever be established on God's land.  And we Christians will through our faith in Christ gain entrance into His kingdom.

The crisis in the Middle East is nothing short of the front lines of a universal conflict between good and evil.  The forces of darkness, headed by Satan, seek to destroy the Jews and Israel and bring down God's Church.  All those that support the Arab Palestinian cause are fighting against God's will.

You can bet that any deal with Yasser Arafat or treaty in the Middle East will end in war.  You can't appease the devil.  There is only one way to put an end to the crisis in the Middle East.  That is the lesson learned from WWII and dealing with another monster, Adolf Hitler. 

The Arab Palestinians don't need an independent state on God's land.  That land has already been promised to the Jews.  Arab Palestinian problems are caused by their own wickedness and the evil they bring upon the Jews, God's chosen people.  Politicians will never bring peace to the Middle East.

For every problem that ails the world, including the crisis in the Middle East, God has an answer; Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  Palestinians and Jews both need Christ, that is the real solution to the Arab/Israeli conflict.

For the first time in history a President of the United States and the Prime Minister of Israel have exchanged hostile words in public and in front of the world press.

This unusual turn in foreign affairs came after President Bush made a call for an independent state of Palestine with East Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital.

This is quite a reversal for Bush who was against such a proposal during his presidential campaign and prior to the terrorist attacks in September. At issue is whether or not the United States has been cutting deals with the Arabs at Israel's expense in the wake of the 911 terrorist attacks.

Sharon has reason to be upset. Bush has declared war on terrorism. But what kind of war caves into the demands of the Palestinian Authority? Most agree that the PA is an organization headed by a terrorist that also daily engages in terrorist attacks in Israel.

It is clear that President Bush is willing to use Israeli land and security as a bargain chip to gain Arab support.

The Israeli Prime Minister went public Thursday, October 4, with concerns many of us have after Bush's surprising comments. He made it perfectly clear that Israel is not going be anyone's sacrifice.

Sharon said, "I call on the Western democracies and primarily the leader of the free world, the United States: Do not repeat the dreadful mistake of 1938 when enlightened European democracies decided to sacrifice Czechoslovakia for a convenient temporary solution."

"Do not try to appease the Arabs at our expense. This is unacceptable to us. Israel will not be Czechoslovakia. Israel will fight terrorism."

"We can only count on ourselves. From now on, we will count only on ourselves."

Sharon went on to say Israel will take "whatever steps necessary" to protect Israelis from terrorism. "Every effort by us to reach a cease-fire was torpedoed by the Palestinians. The fire hasn't stopped for a minute."

President Bush responded indirectly by relaying a message to Israel through the U.S. Embassy, the National Security Council and the State Department.

Bush said that Sharon's comments were "unacceptable" and that "Israel has no stronger friend and ally in the world than the United States."

Bush made it sound like the West will decide when an independent state of Palestine will be established in Israel.

As a professing Christian Bush should know better.

God brought His people back from among the nations and established them again on His land. Jerusalem is God's city. President Bush has no right bargaining away God's land.

America has been blessed because of our unwavering support for Israel, the literal fulfillment of this prophecy.

God said to Abram, "I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." Genesis 12:2-3

For over fifty years our government has been an instrument of God protecting that tiny nation from a sea of evil terrorists and hostile nations. Every previous President has supported Israel. However, that support started to fade away in the last administration.

Sharon was right on target with his comments. Israel has reason to be concerned.

John's Take

Why did Sharon make these particular comments at this time? Because Sharon wanted to publicly expose and reject backdoor negotiations by Bush and Colin Powell that jeopardize the security and sovereignty of Israel.

President Bush has directed U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, the man that lobbied to keep Sadam Hussain in power after Desert Storm, to head up efforts to appease the Arabs by building a coalition to immediately establish a Palestinian State in Israel.

Bush said Tuesday that a Palestinian state was always "part of a vision" if Israel's right to exist is respected.

Powell chimed in with, "There has always been a vision in our thinking, as well in previous administrations' thinking, that there would be a Palestinian state that would exist at the same time that the security of the state of Israel was also recognized, guaranteed and accepted by all parties."

The West acquiesced in 1938 to Nazi Germany's invasion of Czechoslovakia because Hitler "promised" not to invade another country again. It was naive for the West to think Hitler would keep his word and it is naive for Bush to trust Arabs.

Sharon understands this lesson from history and that is why he said Bush's plan for "enlightenment" in the Middle East is "unacceptable."

I think Bush means well. He is just acting on bad advice from the people around him.

Don't be disturbed by what is going on. God is in control. All this is preparing the way for a ten-king federation under the Antichrist and a one united god and religion under the False Prophet.

Israel will continue to be a stumbling block for the nations of the world until our Lord and Savior returns. But first the Rapture so watch and be ready.

Pope John Paul recently became the first Pope to visit Syria and enter a Mosque. This is a significant event. The Mosque sits in the heart of Damascus on a site that 3,000 years ago held a pagan temple. Later it became a place of worship for the Roman god Jupiter. After that it became a church dedicated to St. John the Baptist.

The church became a mosque in the eighth century, less than 100 years after Muslim armies seized Syria from Byzantine rule.

Following his visit to Syria the Pope met with Orthodox leaders in Greece. This is the first time both sides of the Roman Empire have met since the empire was split in two over a thousand years ago.

John's Take

I can't stress how important and relevant these recent developments are to last days prophecy. It has always been the goal of John Paul to bridge the gap between the world's three major religions, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.

Prophecy tells us that in the last days the False Prophet will unite people under a worldwide religion that worships the Beast. These Papal events over the past few days show just how close we are to the Seventieth Week of Daniel. All that is needed is a charismatic leader to ignite the spark and people will follow him anywhere.

As the elections near it becomes clear that Israelis are looking for leadership. The peace process with the Arabs has come unraveled. And it looks like a few Arab countries have managed to procure nuclear weapons.

People are starting to get nervous. If an agreement is not reached soon things could explode.

Who becomes Prime Minister is not really important. What is important is the coming of the False Prophet and the Antichrist. People all over the globe are looking for a messiah.

Soon you will see the arrival of someone with the charisma of John F. Kennedy and the power of Lucifer to work miracles. The world is going to fall head over heals in love with this guy.

And laying the groundwork will be the False Prophet. This man will create a one-world religion that eventually proclaims the Antichrist as God.

There have been many antichrists and false prophets. The Lubavitch Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, called Rebbe by Hasidic Jews, was said to be a messiah.

His followers in Brooklyn, New York, set up signs in Israel declaring that their messiah (Rebbe) would be coming soon. They went so far as to construct buildings in preparation for moving their operations to Israel. Schneerson died in 1994.

But I would keep an eye on Israel and beyond these coming elections. Someone new will come along to pick up where Schneerson left off. Then there will be a Middle East treaty followed by seven years of hell on earth.

It always amazes me that God has so completely blinded the Jews and their religious leaders. There is no need to wonder about the real Messiah. The book of Daniel gives us a very specific date concerning the coming of the Messiah and His death.

"Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. "And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined. Danial 9:24-27

The "Seventy weeks" are interpreted weeks of years or 490 years. That means the Messiah was to come 483 years after the command from Babylon that allowed the Jews to return and restore Jerusalem.

This corresponds exactly with the coming of Jesus. If Jesus was not the Messiah then there will not be one. That is a fact.

And notice the "Messiah shall be cut off," crucified to atone for our sins. This is revelation from God that the Messiah would first die as a covering for sin before He would return to set up the kingdom.

Of course Jews ignore this prophecy because they want to say that Jesus did not fulfill all prophecy. But Jesus will fulfill all prophecy at his Second Coming. Scripture is very specific about the first and second coming of the Messiah.

John's Take

The Antichrist will be accepted as the Messiah by the world. But scripture tells us that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ will be a very magnificent entrance.

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." Matthew 24:29-30

So the next time you hear someone quietly claim to be the Messiah run in the next direction. The Messiah will not come from Brooklyn! If they are not coming down from heaven riding on a white horse being followed by the armies of God then they are not the Messiah.

Israeli and Palestinian negotiators have been holding peace talks in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Taba, Egypt. This is part of an effort by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to come up with some kind of breakthrough before the February 6 elections.

Barak needs something to bolster his chances of reelection. Ariel Sharon, the head of the Likud party, leads Barak in the polls by 52 to 32 percent.

The Palestinians agree with Barak on this issue. They would much rather deal with Barak than Sharon.

Ariel is a war hero and patriot like Barak. But Ariel is more sensitive to religious Jews that want to build a new temple on the Temple Mount.

Last September a visit by Ariel to the Temple Mount started riots. Of course this was just an excuse the Palestinians were looking for.

The real reason for the violence was the passage of the September 13th treaty deadline. Arafat was promised a deal by this date. Another deadline was also missed last May.

Israel is in no hurry to make peace. Arafat in not well and they know it. They do not want to make a final deal with Arafat. Israel will sign a treaty someday. But I would be very surprised if they don't wait for Arafat's successor.

In the mean time Israel keeps giving up more land to the Palestinians. Israelis do not mind giving up the Gaza Strip and other predominately Arab areas. Other areas considered expendable by Jews are areas containing Christian holy Sites.

Even Bethlehem the place of our Messiah's birth has been turned over to Arafat. This makes it almost impossible for Israel to guarantee personal safety in this Arab controlled area. So all Christian festivities in Bethlehem were canceled this past year.

Israel is running out of what they consider "undesirable land" to give up. In fact, there are now giving away what many consider the bread basket areas in the West Bank.

The big problem now is that Israel has run out of wiggle room. Soon they will have to make some hard choices. If they want to keep most of Jerusalem and get a piece of the Temple Mount then they must make some concessions.

The international press is reporting the following as the major stumbling blocks in the negotiations:

BORDERS

Borders of a possible Palestinian state - Palestinians want 100% of the West Bank and east Jerusalem. Barak is willing to give up 90%.

JORDAN VALLEY

Palestinians want the whole Jordan Valley. Barak wants to retain a presence in the Jordan Valley to keep with their vow that no foreign army must ever be allowed to cross the Jordan River.

STATUS OF JERUSALEM

Palestinians want to make east Jerusalem their capital. Israel wants a united Jerusalem. The Muslim trust that controls the mosques on the "Haram as-Sharif" (Temple Mount) is allowed to fly the Palestinian flag.

SETTLEMENTS

Palestinians demand the evacuation of all Jewish settlements in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Barak wants to move the more isolated settlements into large settlement blocks. Israel would keep sovereignty over these blocks.

REFUGEES

Palestinians demand that their refugees be allowed to return to their former homes. To do so would require Israel to accept responsibility for the Palestinian refugee problem in the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.

John's Take

Notice that the hotly contested Temple Mount is not even mentioned. You know that this is the linchpin to the negotiations. By offering Israel a piece of the Temple Mount to build a new temple the Palestinians will be able to get most of what they want.

I believe we don't hear much about the Temple Mount because both sides have secretly agreed to share the Mount. I also believe that Jordan has agreed to give up their claim to be the keeper of Islamic Holy Sites in Palestine in exchange for cash from the US.

Violence has swept through Israel and the territories. Over seventy Palestinians and several border policemen have been killed, and over a 1,900 people have been wounded. Palestinian gunmen and police have fired on IDF troops from trees, rooftops, and in running gun battles in the streets.

For the first time the fierce rioting has escalated to the point that attack helicopters and ant-tank weapons were needed to take out Palestinian snipers.

The world watched in horror as the death of a young Palestinian boy was caught on film. The boy was out throwing rocks at an IDF guard position. The boy's father realized that things were getting too dangerous so he went out to get his son. Soon afterwards Palestinians opened fire with automatic weapons on the Israelis from a position only yards away from where the boy and his father were seeking cover. In the gunfight that ensued the boy was killed and the father seriously wounded. As a father myself I feel sick every time I think about this tragedy.

Shame on the father for sending his child out into this type of situation, shame on the Palestinian gunmen for using human shields, and shame on the Israeli solders for shooting so inaccurately that they actually shot two people huddled into a corner. Excuses from the soldiers involved like "it's like going out in the rain, you are going to get hit" are pathetic. If they can't shoot any better than that perhaps they should not be given a gun.

Too many people have forgotten that the blood that flows from a Palestinian is no different from that of a Jew, they both go back to the seed of Abraham.

The rioting started on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem when Likud leader Ariel Sharon made a visit to the Temple Mount.

I have made my position on this clear. God owns the Temple Mount and Arab shrines and pagan worship centers on the Mount are in direct violation with God's will according to scripture. The Jews can trace back a presence on the Temple Mount thousands of years before Islam was invented.

The story of how Mohammed rode up to heaven on a winged horse from the "rock" is pure fantasy. Moslems do not even recognize that the Jews had a Temple on the site. All of this was invented as part of an Arab plan to take control of the mount and Jerusalem from the Jews.

If you study history you will find that the Romans destroyed the Temple and kicked all Jews off of the land in 70 A.D. in response to a Jewish revolt against the Roman Empire. The Romans renamed Jerusalem and turned it into a pagan city. Islam eventually rose up as a power in the area and filled the void. The truth is the Temple Mount meant nothing to the Arabs until they heard Jews discussing a return to Jerusalem to once again set up the nation of Israel.

Israel should have taken control of the Temple Mount years ago regardless of the consequences. Mr. Sharon and all Jews have a right to go on to the Temple Mount any time they feel like it.

However, the Israeli government has allowed the situation to get worse by doing nothing. The Arabs are now expanding their control over the Mount.

It is very important to understand what is going on here. The Peace Talks have moved into the most important stage, the final status of Jerusalem. This is the stumbling block for both sides and the reason why the talks broke down.

Both sides want complete control of Jerusalem and they want to claim it as their capital. And the heart of Jerusalem is the Temple Mount. The United Nations currently recognizes Jordanian authority over the site. So actually we have a three way tug of war between Israel, Jordan and the Palestinians over control of the Temple Mount.

All sides know that whoever controls the Mount controls Jerusalem. Even the Romans understood this 2,000 years ago. That is why they set up a garrison of troops in the Antonia tower on the Mount. Along with this the Romans also took away the High Priest vestments to further control the people. They were given back to the priest to wear on feast days and then immediately confiscated and stored in the tower.

The Arab strategy is the same as the Romans. They seek to establish a firm hold on the Temple Mount through construction projects, an armed policing presence, and religious claims of authority and ownership. At the same time they wish to deny Israel any spot to build a new temple thus controlling all religious activity on the Mount.

John's Take

With the breakdown of the peace talks Mr. Sharon should have known that his visit was not wise. All this did was give Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat an opportunity to plead his case before the world media.

Arafat planned the riots and used Sharon's visit to emphasize the "sensitivity" of Jerusalem to Arabs thinking this would help him gain international sympathy.

With the passing of this second deadline Arafat knows his time is running out. We have recently seen the death of three kings in the Middle East. If something doesn't happen soon Arafat will also pass on before his dream of an internationally recognized independent state of Palestine becomes a reality.

Arafat has orchestrated the current violence to bring attention to the fact that this is his "last battle." The outcome of which he hopes will either result in a final settlement or the unilateral declaration of Palestinian statehood.

I think that something will happen soon. Perhaps we may finally see a leader come along with a solution to this problem in the Middle East. If that does happen watch out. We know the Antichrist will sign a seven-year treaty with many nations, including Israel.

Another deadline for reaching a final peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians has come and gone. As noted here on the lasdays home page all parties had agreed to a date of September 13, 2000. When the date came and went without a permanent agreement Mr. Yasser Arafat once again checked with his allies for support to declare unilateral independence. The response was "no go."

The recent violence in Israel was expected after the passing of the September 13th date. The Palestinians are trying to strengthen their hand when negotiations resume. Over a thousand people have been injured and many killed.

Israel knows that the longer this goes on the greater the possibility that Mr. Yasser Arafat will not live long enough to become the leader of an independent state of Palestine. Perhaps in some way that may help Israelis live with the final treaty.

Don't get discouraged by these horrible images. They are in stark contrast with what will be a return to the days of peace like Adam and Eve enjoyed in the Garden of Eden. But for a short time now things must get worse. When will this peace come? When the Savior and Messiah comes back to save the earth and set up His kingdom. Then God will rule from Jerusalem.

For now man has not set a new date for a final treaty. In the mean time both sides are trying to show the world why they can't budge on their position.

Negotiations are taking place at various locations around the world with all parties. So far these have all ended with little movement by either the Israelis or the Palestinians

As soon as I get any news on a new date for the final status of Jerusalem and a final treaty between Israel and the Palestinians I will post it here. I don't expect much until after the US Presidential elections. However, if any of you hear before I do then please send me the information so that I can share it with everyone.

I see all this as an affirmation that God is in control, not that there were any doubts. No matter how much plotting and planning man does it is not going to force God to act before the appointed time. God has a timetable for all things and when God is ready we will see a treaty in the Middle East.

The Pope and Yasser Arafat signed a covenant at the Vatican on February 15th, 2000. The agreement recognizes Jerusalem as an international city, Palestine as an independent state, and paves the way for full diplomatic relations between the Vatican and the Palestinians when the final status treaty is signed.

Yasser Arafat, the leader of the PLO terrorist organization, has asked the Pope to play a special role in the administration of the future two capital city of Jerusalem. The details of the role the Pope will play in Jerusalem has not been made public yet.

Perhaps Arafat requested the Pope because of the long history of hostility by the Vatican against God's chosen people, the Jews. It is a historical fact that the Popes and the Roman Catholic Church persecuted millions of Jews during the Inquisition, they never excommunicated Hitler, they kept silent about the Holocaust, they helped Nazi war criminals escape after the war, and they boycotted the UN vote on the establishment of the State of Israel.

This is nothing new. We know that Roman garrisons controlled the Temple Mount and Jerusalem 2,000 years ago. An Imperial Roman Eagle was hung over the entrance to the Temple. And Roman soldiers locked up the sacred garments of the High Priest in their Roman tower over looking the Temple Mount on non-feast days.

Someday soon we will see the people who crucified our Lord, in the form of a revived Roman Confederacy headed by the Antichrist and False Prophet, exerting their will over God's will in the land of Israel once again. But this time the Lord will come to put an end to their evil acts, and set up His kingdom in Jerusalem.

Israel and the Palestinians have struck a new Peace Accord that sets a course towards a permanent settlement in the Middle East by September 13, 2000.

After months of tough negotiations the Israeli Prime Minister, Mr Ehud Barak, and the Palestinian leader, Mr Yasser Arafat, shook hands and exchanged smiles at a signing ceremony in a hotel in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh.

The agreement not only revives the United States-brokered Wye River accord signed last October in the White House, it also sets out a timetable for reaching a final peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians before President Clinton leaves office.

The breakthrough in peace negotiations was the direct result of heavy lobbying by US President Bill Clinton. President Clinton has his sights on making peace in the Middle East his presidential legacy.

Key issues to be resolved include final status of Jerusalem, and how to divide the Temple Mount.

The steps for achieving the September deadline include:

• Expanding the city limits of Jerusalem to about twice it's current size.
• Incorporating the Jewish settlements around Jerusalem into the city so
      that they will no longer be considered in the West Bank.
• Affixing the exact border that will divide Jerusalem into two capitals
      for two countries.
• UN and US recognition of the two halves of Jerusalem as the capitals
      of Israel and the State of Palestine.
• Israel will turn over a strip of land to Palestine so that the West Bank
      will be connected with Gaza.
• Jordan will relinquish their claim over Islamic Holy Sites in Jerusalem.
• The Temple Mount will be split into two parts, Gentile and Jewish.
• Jewish animal sacrifices on the Temple Mount and Temple
      construction will begin after the final treaty is signed.
• The Pope will be given an administrative and arbitrator role over the
      dual capitals in Jerusalem.

John's Take

As we have seen before only the Father knows when the final treaty between Israel and their neighbors will be signed. It looked like this was going to happen in May of 1999. But the elections in Israel put everything on hold.

Now we have a new date of September 13, 2000. Will this date hold or be set back? I don't know. I think that President Clinton would like to take credit for peace in the Middle East, but the next President. Perhaps Congress will throw up a few roadblocks so that the next President, or someone else, can claim all of the credit.

The 124-member Palestine Liberation Organization's Central Council debated for three days before voting to delay its declaration of statehood until after Israel's May 17 election. In all reality there will probably be a June 1 runoff between incumbent Benjamin Netanyahu and challenger Ehud Barak. I don't expect much to happen until after June.

If Netanyahu wins Arafat will declare statehood and a war may start. If Barak wins, a Palestinian flag will be flying over half of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount within a year.

Arafat had pledged to declare statehood on May 4, 1999, when the Oslo peace accords with Israel expire. Now Arafat has saved face by turning the decision over the PLO Council. The majority of Palestinians are still in favor of a unilateral declaration of Palestinian statehood.

No matter who wins the Israeli elections, I expect an independent Palestinian state within a year.

Arafat checked with his allies, the UN, U.S., Russia, and Egypt for their support of a May 4the declaration. They all advised Arafat to hold off until after the elections. The US has been in diplomatic discussions with the Israeli Labor party leadership. And Labor has committed to a permanent status agreement sharing Jerusalem and allowing for an independent Palestinian state should they win the coming elections.

John's Take

This was a very shred political maneuver by Arafat. The Palestinians have everything to gain if Labor wins the election, and nothing else to lose if Netanyahu stays in office.

Unilaterally declaring statehood on May 4th would have guarantee Netanyahu's reelection. Arafat does not want to help Benjamin stay in office. He gives up Israeli land at a much slower pace than the Labor party.

By holding off on statehood, Arafat has received assurances from all of his allies, including the US and Russia, that Palestine will become an independent state within a year. We will just have to wait and see what happens in the coming months.

What are the facts surrounding the development of the Oslo Accord? Who were the negotiators? Why all of the smoke and mirrors? A few of these important questions were addressed in a documentary aired in Australia, May of 1998. The story was broadcast at the same time as a big football game. Needless to say it went unnoticed by the Australian "footy" fans.

I was waiting for the day when the real negotiators of the Oslo Accord would break their silence to be recognized. It must have been hard for them watch the signing ceremony at the White House knowing it was their agreement being signed. The world was overdosed on images of the now famous handshake, and President Clinton looking the peacemaker. The world's media carried the event live, and it was shown over and over again in CNN's typical looping broadcast of old news footage. In light of the news blitz, I found it very suspicious that a key issue had not been addressed. Where did this agreement come from? Just a short time earlier these people were saying, "we will not negotiate with terrorist."

Here is the real story behind the Oslo Accord. It all began when a Norwegian Diplomat invited an Israeli Professor and a PLO Official to meet on his estate in Oslo, Norway. The three men were old acquaintances, but they were not planning a holiday. They agreed to meet and discuss some of the roadblocks in the peace process. The meetings were to be conducted in complete secrecy, one on one between the Israeli Professor and the PLO Official. The Norwegian Diplomat's role was to provide the neutral meeting place.

At first, not even Yasser Arafat, Rabin, or President Clinton knew of the meetings. During the whole affair the officially appointed diplomats for both Israel and the PLO were in Washington D.C. conducting "formal" peace negotiations. The Washington negotiators were ignorant of Oslo. They went about their business as usual. They heard about the agreement only after it had been reached. Their efforts were a smoke screen to keep the media's attention in D.C. and away from Oslo. I bet that makes them feel real important.

The Oslo meetings kicked off okay, but quickly stalled out on small issues. During one meeting the PLO official called off the talks, then stormed out of the house to cool down before returning home. That is when the Professor got an idea. Why let things end on a dispute over insignificant matters? Why not go for something a bit bigger? He caught up with the PLO official in the estate gardens and made one last proposal. What if Israel were to recognize the state of Palestine and their claim to occupied land, and the PLO were to recognize the state of Israel? If they could agree on this then a timetable could be set for settling the other small issues - like how to turn half of Jerusalem into the Capital of a new Palestinian state in May of 1999.

Sounds too simple, but it proved to be a critical breakthrough. Shortly thereafter Arafat and Rabin were brought into the process. Rabin sent a trusted lawyer to Oslo to draft the agreement. There was only a handful of people aware of the talks at that point in time. With the eyes of the world on negotiators in Washington the future of millions was being decided secretly in Oslo.

There is a lot more to this story, including Arafat demanding changes to the agreement 30 minutes before the live broadcast. More importantly a new round of talks are almost complete. I think a final agreement will be made public in early 1999. We will all know soon enough.

John's Take

What does history tell us about the ability of mankind to establish peace on earth? There have been over 400 wars since the end of the "Great War", including the Second World War. The UN has been powerless to stop these confrontations, or the spread of weapons of mass destruction. Implementing the Oslo Accord is like putting a Band-Aid on a severed limb. It will fail, and a world conflict will surely follow. It does not get to the heart of the matter. Rebellion against the will of God is the real problem, and not the lack of another treaty. The are times when a peace treaty is actually against the will of God.

The Scripture give us a good example of a bad treaty in the 20th chapter of I Kings. The story begins with the evil king of Syria Ben-Hadad. He gathered all his forces together, thirty-two kings in all. Then he made war with Sumaria. Next he sent messangers to Ahab the king of Israel asking for all of Ahab's gold, silver, wives and children. Ahab agreed, but this did not satisfy the Syrian king. He took Ahab's weakness as a green light to take everything of value. So Ben-Hadad demanded, "I will send my servants to you tomorrow about this time, and they shall search your house and the houses of your servants. And it shall be, that whatever is pleasant in your eyes, they will put it in their hands and take it." Ahab refused this latest demand, but continued to talk peace. Unwilling to compromise, the Syrian king made ready to attack.

The Lord defeated the Syrians. When they came again the next year, the Lord delivered the vastly superior Syrian army and their king into Ahab's hand. This was done to glorify the Lord and not Ahab. But to be seen as the victorious peacemaker, Ahab released the king of Syria and signed a new peace treaty. This was against God's will. The Syrian king returned and made war once more with Israel. This time, without the support of the Lord, Ahab was killed.

Everyone would like to see world peace. "Blessed are the Peacemakers." But land for peace is not the answer. Israel is trading their inheritance from God. Should we just give up on peace? No, the answer is to seek God's will and accept it.

Arafat has delayed the May 4th unilateral declaration of statehood pending the outcome of the May 17 elections in Israel.

It is highly likely that a runoff will be required on June 1st to determine a winner.

Ehud Barak, the Labor party challenger is leading in the poles. Should he win Labor will sign away control of Jerusalem for peace. It was the Labor party that threw out the "never deal with terrorist" policy and started to trade land for peace with the Oslo accord.

The Labor party reminds me of Esau. He gave up his birthright for a bowl of soup.

The UN also supports Arafat. United Nations Security Council Resolutions 242 and 228 set the framework for Palestinian independence. The UN is now pushing to make Jerusalem an internationally controlled city.

Virtually the whole world is going against God, trying to take away His promise to establish Israel on His land. In the end God will win. And the world will pay a heavy price; just like Pharaoh did, for trying to overrule God's Word.

It is official. PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat has stated that he will declare Palestinian independence in May of 1999. Arafat said that he will make this declaration regardless of objections from the US or Israel. He has also stated that Jerusalem will be the capital of the new nation of Palestine.

John's Take

The Palestinians are a culturally rich, hospitable and friendly people. They deserve a land of their own where they can live in peace and prosperity. I can honestly say that place already exist, it is called Jordan. Search but you will not find Jordan in ancient scripture. Jordan was created by the British as a gift for Arab leaders that fought on their side during the First World War. Over 50% of Jordan's population are Palestinian. Therefore, a simple solution to the problems in the Middle East would be to change the name of Jordan to Palestine.

We all know this would not work. In all the time that Palestinians have lived in the Middle East the land has stayed a desert wasteland, basically useless. In the short period of time since 1948 the Jews have brought the land back to life. I have seen this with my own eyes several times. So the Palestinians don't want Jordan, they want the West Bank, which is the best of the land of Israel. This is nothing new. Many have or will lay claim to this part of the world; like the Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Turks, Crusaders, Germans, British, UN, Americans, Russians, Palestinians and the Anti-Christ.

However, God claims the Middle East as His Holy Land. It is His to give to whomever He pleases. He has already spoken on this matter. God has given this land as an inheritance to Israel.

NUMBERS

  53   'you shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land and dwell in it, for I have given you the land to possess.
  55   'But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall be that those whom you let remain shall be irritants in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land where you dwell.
  56   'Moreover it shall be that I will do to you as I thought to do to them.' "

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  2  "Command the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When you come into the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you as an inheritance-- the land of Canaan to its boundaries.
  3  'Your southern border shall be from the Wilderness of Zin along the border of Edom; then your southern border shall extend eastward to the end of the Salt Sea;
  4  'your border shall turn from the southern side of the Ascent of Akrabbim, continue to Zin, and be on the south of Kadesh Barnea; then it shall go on to Hazar Addar, and continue to Azmon;
  5  'the border shall turn from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and it shall end at the Sea.
  6  'As for the western border, you shall have the Great Sea for a border; this shall be your western border.
  7  'And this shall be your northern border: From the Great Sea you shall mark out your border line to Mount Hor;
  8  'from Mount Hor you shall mark out your border to the entrance of Hamath; then the direction of the border shall be toward Zedad;
  9  'the border shall proceed to Ziphron, and it shall end at Hazar Enan. This shall be your northern border.

  12  'the border shall go down along the Jordan, and it shall end at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land with its surrounding boundaries.'"

I feel for the Palestinians, but you can't kick your feet against a stone. It is better to let things be than to defy God. The current peace negotiations can only serve to anger God if they go against God's inheritance for Israel. Scripture says that great tribulation is coming to the Middle East and the rest of the world in the near future. The Messiah will actually enlarge the borders of Israel. He will set things straight at His Second Coming. Someday every knee shall bow.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is a great man and a brilliant politician. I respect and admire him. He is well liked by Christians and Jews who were very glad when he was elected. They see him as the great protector of Jewish lands. He promised to halt the great land giveaway and preserve Israeli security. However, he is paralyzed and powerless to stop the coming events.

Look at the facts. Here is how things stack up in the Middle East.

On one side you have a few million Israelis. They all want peace with their Arab neighbors and the Palestinians, but differ on how to achieve that objective. Some God-centric Jews are willing to die to preserve their inheritance from God. Other religious Jews side with the Labor party, they don't even believe in an Israel without the Messiah. Still other Jews don't care at all about religion or politics. They just want to party in Tel Aviv.

On the other side of the equation you have a decisively more powerful coalition of forces exerting pressure on Mr. Netanyahu. First there is over one hundred and twenty million Arabs neighbors, arming to the teeth, all living for the day when they can push the Jews into the sea.

The European Union and the Vatican also support the Arabs. The EU wants to get their hand on Arab oil. I will get to the topic of the Vatican later. Just remember that the last Holy Roman Empire, and the nations that followed, always had a political head of state and a religious leader.

The Jordanians have control of the Temple Mount, both the Palestinians and the Israelis must deal with them. Will the next King of Jordan be friendly with Israel?

President Clinton supports Israel, but America has supplied sophisticated weapons to all of nations in the region. Clinton is now leaning as far as he can to the Arab side to quickly bring in a final agreement before he leaves or gets pushed out of office. Clinton uses the billions of dollars in yearly American foreign aid given to Israel to pull Netanyahu's strings. Netanyahu's election was a surprise to Clinton and the CIA. However, this only temporarily stalled their plans. You can bet that Netanyahu will get with the program, or they will see to it that the "land for peace" Labor Party wins the next election.

Russia and the other former Soviet Republics are on the side of the Arabs. Five of the Republics are predominately Moslem. They are all selling advanced weapons to the Arabs to raise hard cash to prop up their failing economy, and to keep the Russian Mafia happy.

The whole of the African Continent supports the Arab side. South Africa was a supporter of Israel, but that has now change.

North Korea supplies long range missiles to the Arabs.

India, Pakistan, and the billion strong China are also selling weapons to the Arabs.

Don't forget the forces of Satan. If Israel is keeping God's commandments, than you know which side Satan is supporting.

Does this seam like a lop-sided contest to anyone? Actually it is, God's victory over Satin and the kings of this earth is a foregone conclusion.

John's Take

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Israel should trust in God's promise no matter how things may look. But they won't, and we will continue to rush into the last days, and God's prophecy will be fulfilled. Mr. Netanyahu has chosen a no-win situation. His coalition government expects him to stop making concession to the Palestinians, and the forces lined up against him overwhelmingly outnumber his earthly supporters. So he talks tough to keep his government in tact, than secretly gives the Palestinians everything they ask for, hoping this will stop the terrorism and prevent a war. It looks like it would take God Himself to save Israel. That just happens to be in the master plan!

Some of you may be asking yourself, "How can God be on anyone's side, don't Moslems, Jews, and Christians worship the same God?" Some of you may even think that Islam is older than the Jewish and Christian Religions, so therefore they have a right to Palestine.

For starters the Islamic religion is not older the Judaism or Christianity. Muhammad wasn't even born until 570 AD. Granted, many rituals and practices enforced by Islam can be traced back to Phoenician and Canaanite Baal worship.

The Islamic religion is a false religion because the Allah of the Koran is not the same God that Christians and Jews worship. Muhammad picked Allah from a pool of over 365 false deities that were being worshiped in Arabia at that time. Allah-worship pre-existed Islam, and entailed the worship of the sun, the moon, and the stars.

Islam is another of Satan's weapons to oppose God, His plan, and His people. Proof of this is in the fact that the Koran conflicts with the truths in the Bible. The Koran states that Noah's sons died in the flood, Abraham tried to sacrifice Ishmael, Jesus did not die on the cross, etc. etc. Islam also claims that there was never a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount, and the Mount has no historical religious significance to the Jews. Needless to say indisputable archeological evidence proves otherwise.

Some of you try to blame the world's problems on all religions. However, strife is accelerating today because the world has gone to hell, and Satin knows that his time is running short. Don't believe me? You need look no farther than the wicked example set by our elected leader, Commander in Chief Bill Clinton. All the deception and lies in Washington could not hide the truth. Now everyone knows that our nations trust and nuclear arsenal is the sole responsibility of someone completely void of good judgement, the right values, and a conscience - and over half of the people in the US don't see a problem with this situation! The world is ripe for the Anti-Christ. They cry peace, but war and tribulation waits round the corner.

Syrian Defense Minister Mustafa Tlass claims that the Damascus regime has a letter from US President Bill Clinton outlining an Israeli withdrawal from the Golan Heights. Tlass was quoted as saying that Clinton had written the letter documenting the position of Prime Minister Yitzahak Rabin agreeing to an IDF withdrawal to the June 4, 1967, armistice line.

The letter is in the presidential palace in Damascus, and will be made public by President Assad at the appropriate time.

Itamar Rabinovich, Israel's former ambassador to the US, said "withdrawal was discussed hypothetically, but there was no commitment and no agreement."

John's Take

I have no doubt that President Clinton sent the letter to Assad. Obviously he jumped the gun in his enthusiasm to bolster his foreign policy image. Clinton is very inexperience in Middle East negotiating where telling the truth is expected and valued. His strength is in working with communist countries, where deception and lying are admired traits in political leaders. There may have been talks about a Golan pullout. But I doubt that the Labor Party would have made any agreement at that time.

A final treaty between Israel and the PLO will establish an Independent Palestinian State, and will divide Jerusalem into two capitals. There may be more truth than rumor to this story. Public confirmation of the secret agreement may not come until the more politically correct labor party is reinstalled to the Israeli presidency. The denials, smoke, and mirrors are not surprising. The Oslo accords were conducted in secret during a time when both the Israeli and U.S. Governments publicly denounced any negotiations with terrorist organizations.

Lending creditability to this story is the recent announcement on Israeli TV by the Palestinian Authority that Yasser Arafat plans to declare an Independent Palestinian State, with Jerusalem as their capital, on May 1st, 1999. May of 1999 is also the UN and Oslo deadline for resolving the issue of "Israeli occupation" of Jerusalem. Additionally, the U.S. Congress finally enacted the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, which calls for the U.S. embassy to be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem by May 31, 1999. Could all these events be related?

Key points of the treaty:

1. Jerusalem will be partitioned into two sections:

• One section will serve as the capital of the new Palestinian State
• The other section will become the U.S. recognized capital of Israel

2. The temple mount area will be shared:

• One part will serve as the site for a new Jewish temple
• The other part will remain in Palestinian control

3. The Vatican will be given special jurisdiction over Jerusalem:

• The Palestinians requested the Vatican because of their experience with the dual capital Rome
• The Vatican's interest in Jerusalem goes back a long time
• In 1949 the Vatican persuaded the South American countries to vote in favor of placing Jerusalem under UN jurisdiction

John's Take

A secret final treaty between Israel and the Palestinians has already been brokered. Political pressure from the U.S. will force Israelis to give up their God given birthright. Alone, indefensible, surrounded by enemies, Israel will finally turn their eyes to the Messiah for salvation.

Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat is jumping for joy. Arafat, attending the commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the Oslo Accords in Norway, broke news of progress in the peace negotiations. Apparently Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu sent a document to Arafat offering to withdraw from another 13% of the West Bank. Arafat said, "I can accept that," calling the proposal "a beginning."

Many in the Israeli government are upset. The Palestinian National Council has not convened to amend the clauses in the Palestinian Covenant calling for the destruction of Israel. Therefore, this proposal by Netanyahu to cede more of Judea and Samaria is a threat to Israel's security.

Both the content and timing of this latest announcement is no surprise. Only a short time remains before half of Jerusalem will be turned over to a new Palestinian state, as agreed by Mr. Netanyahu in secret negotiations in 1997. Mr. Netanyahu is now straddling a fence, playing big time politics, using misinformation and spin tactics to remain in office. Elected on a "no land giveaway" policy, Mr. Netanyahu is finding it difficult to explain his "talk tough than give them everything they want" negotiating tactics. This latest giveaway will leave Jerusalem completely surround by a Palestinian state. Mr. Netanyahu has not even achieved a guarantee of peace in exchange for Israeli land. Each new step in the "pseudo" peace process weakens the security of Israel, and encourages hostile neighbors in their holy war to push the Jews into the sea.

These developments are even more alarming in light of other events in the region. Arms have been flooding into the Arab nations from their Russian ally desperately in need of hard cash. Many of the top Russian military scientist are already off the Russian Military payroll, working directly for countries like Iran and Iraq. Expect this trend to increase as the Russian economic and social collapse expands, and Russia moves back to the "old ways" of communism.

Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu made some profound announcements on the Larry King Show that aired January 21, 1998. The Prime Minister of Israel had nothing but praise for President Clinton and the peace process. However, Mr. Netanyahu had a very different tone for the religious Jews in both Israel and the United States - which oppose the land for peace giveaway and look to the messianic age. "They have their heads in the clouds, but I have my feet on the ground," said Mr. Netanyahu.

He went on the say "the cabinet and I have already selected the land we can cede over to the Palestinians while maintaining our security." The land will include the mountains between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The land will start ten miles inland from Tel Aviv, but how far east it will extend was not mentioned. It looks like announcing that it will extend all the way into a Palestinian capital of Jerusalem is still not politically correct at this time. Mr. Netanyahu also said he hopes to sign a new treaty in the White House in the not to distant future.

To many this is surprising news coming just days after Mr. Netanyahu used the religious left in Israel to survive a no confidence vote. Few remember that shortly after winning the national election on a platform of no land for peace, Mr. Netanyahu ceded Hebron, the resting place of Abraham, to the Palestinians, and began final status talks to decide the fate of Jerusalem.

It is encouraging to hear that some people still trust in God's ability to fulfill his promise. I wish that more people would keep their thoughts up in the clouds. Someday the Messiah will rule from Jerusalem and the borders of Israel will extend well beyond their current limits.

Melody, a dark mahogany red heifer, is making world news. She was born to a black and white Holstein at Kfar Hassidim, a religious farm in Israel. Her birth is seen by many as nothing short of a miracle. The birth of Melody is so significant that she is under a 24 hour guarded watch to protect her from harm. Rabbis from Jerusalem have given Melody the thumbs up after inspecting a few white hairs on the heifer's tail.

A red heifer is required for the purification procedure mandated by Numbers 19, a prerequisite for the future Temple. The heifer's sacrificial ashes are mixed with water that is then used to purify priests for duties on the Temple Mount. There have been nine red heifers in all of Israel's history. Israel has been waiting over 2000 years for the tenth.

Melody will be the required scriptural age of three years in 1999.

John's Take

Plans have been under way to bring red heifers from the United States to Israel. However, God did things in his own time, and in his way. He provided the miracle of Melody.
