Vice Presidential Debate Was A Winner By John Roberts, October 13, 2000 What is the significance and relevance of this story to last days prophecy? The Vice Presidential debate really illustrates the spiritual warfare that is going on in the world today. On one side you have George Bush and Dick Cheney telling the truth, avoiding exaggerations and lies, defending the unborn, prayer in school, victims over criminals, and a strong military. On the liberal side you have Al Gore and Joseph Lieberman sitting at a fund-raiser laughing and making jokes about Christians. They also support the rights of criminals over victims. In fact, in liberal New England, Joseph's back yard, a judge in Massachusetts let a convicted kidnapper and child molester off on probation. She smiled openly at the kidnapper in court. That is a liberal's idea of justice. They are for killing the unborn. And now it comes out that Hua Lian Pharmaceutical Co. in Communist China will be producing the TR-486 baby-killing pill for use in the US. Is this another reward for contributing to Clinton's reelection fund? This is a liberal's idea of morals. They support special rights for gay marriage. These new laws will force Christian churches to hire openly gay employees if they so chose to apply for a job. This is a liberal's idea of marriage. God knows a straight marriage in Hollywood lasts about as long as a liberal's campaign promise. They are for tearing down the military. Let's not try to fool the public during an election. If you knew a war was coming who would you want in office, a liberal communist loving Democrat, or a conservative pro-military Republican? The attack on the U.S.S. Cole by terrorists was a direct result of eight years of neglect of our military by Clinton and Gore. The Cole should have never been in Yemen for refueling. We need more tankers so that our ships do not need to go to port for fuel. Yemen is a known safe haven for terrorist organizations. Clinton is the one who took Yemen off the list of banned countries and started using them for refueling in 1999. No one should be allowed to come close to our ships without first being boarded and inspected. What kind of a military says that this is the cost of having 100 ships a sea? Our Navy can't stop two Arabs in a rubber boat from taking out a billion dollar high tech ship? Fire the Admirals responsible for such talk. Put a safe zone around all US ships. If foreign harbor authorities will not go along with that then stop sending them foreign aid, and build more tankers so they can refuel at sea. It is that simple. I think this Presidential election is about making the right choice. A choice for morals, values, upholding the law, a strong military, and a change from the past eight years of scandal.
