What is the significance and relevance of this story to last days prophecy?

Here we have what could be the future President of the United States standing before an idol. His hands are clasped together in the fashion used by idolaters to greet and pray to their golden images.

Does that picture bother you? It should. It troubles me. In the last days the False Prophet will set up an idol bearing the likeness of the Antichrist and force people to worship it as a god. This has been done many times throughout history when kings and little dictators took advantage of ignorant agrarian cultures. But it is hard to believe that a modern society could put faith in an image carved from stone.

But here you can see a supposed Christian and the second most powerful man in American politics standing before an idol with hands together. I believe this is all part of a plan by some to get the masses conditioned to tolerate idols. You are going to see more and more idolatry introduced into our society all under the cover of "tolerance."

REVELATION

14    And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.
15    He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
16    He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
17    and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18    Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

We have just about seen the end of the most troubling and wicked administration to ever occupy the White House. Now this gives us a look at what we can expect in a Gore administration.

For eight years Al Gore occupied the number two spot in our government. During that time we the people have endured adultery, lies, missing e-mails, stolen FBI files, stolen US secrets, dozens of murder-suicides of key witnesses, White Water, Travel Gate, foreign campaign contributions, the most military interventions in the history of the USA, the destruction of our military, etc. etc. Should Gore bear some of the responsibility for this? You bet he does.

What this country needs now is not someone that sucks up to pagan idolaters by joining them in praying to idols. What we need is a return to integrity, morals, values, ethics, proper education for our children, a strong defense, and hope of a bright future. We need someone in the White House that knows that all sex outside of marriage is wrong. Someone that knows what the definition of the word "is" is.

What legacy has the current Administration left behind? Following Clinton's example we now have a new moral standard, the Clinton-Gore standard. And this code of conduct says that wrong is only wrong if you are convicted. A lie is only a lie if you are caught lying. A leader's personal values have no impact on how they perform their elected duty. Sure thing!

LEVITICUS

4    'Do not turn to idols, nor make for yourselves molded gods: I am the LORD your God.

1    'You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the LORD your God.

2 TIMOTHY

1    But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
2    For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3    unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
4    traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5    having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
6    For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

I JOHN

20    And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
21    Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

REVELATION

20    But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.
21    And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
