What is the significance and relevance of this story to last days prophecy?

These High School Students say they just want to “shakeup and rebel against a God-fearing society.”   That is very much in line with a common saying today among generation X kids, “no fear, no rules and no boundaries.”

Then they went one step further and embraced darkness and the Devil by saying “Satanism helps people express themselves.   It is ok to feel hate, because hating allows them to love more.”   And of course “Christians have created a false impression of Satan.”

This story illustrates just how close we are to the return of Christ.   It is now unconstitutional and against the law to pray, post the Ten Commandments, or make any mention of God in public schools.   But practicing Satanism with tax payer money is protected “free speech.”

Kids in San Mateo are now worshiping Satan at a public school, with the full support of their parents, teachers, school administrators, and the Priest at the local Catholic Church.   We were told by the prophets and Apostles that this day was coming and now it is here.

To fear God means one has respect for God. These kids have no respect for God.

Proverbs 30:11-14

  11     There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
  12     There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
  13     There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
  14     There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

Yes, we are in the last days.   We have reached that point in society once again when everyone is doing what is right in their own eyes.

Christians follow Christ, He is King and He is coming back to rule from Jerusalem.   But the rest of the world is searching for a different kind of king.   And that demon is coming soon out of the pit and will empower Antichrist and the False Prophet. And these three will the lost follow.

2 Timothy 3:1-7

  1     This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
  2     For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
  3     Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
  4     Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
  5     Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
  6     For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
  7     Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Should we fear God?

Revelation 14:6-7

  6     And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
  7     Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
