What is the significance and relevance of this story to last days prophecy?

It is very important to understand that Christians and Muslims do not worship the same god. Allah, the god of Islam, was in pre-Islamic time worshiped as the Babylonian god Bel (Baal). A wooden statue of Baal (Allah) stood inside the Ka'aba (Cube) with many other gods.

It was a grave sin for President Bush and Reverend Billy Graham to bow their heads in prayer to Allah at the National Prayer Service. The Reverend should stop pushing his one god one religion agenda. Ignorance is no excuse.

Jude 1:1-25

  20     "Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you who have escaped from the nations. They have no knowledge, who carry the wood of their carved image, and pray to a god that cannot save.
  21     Tell and bring forth your case; yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, a just God and a Savior; there is none besides Me.
  22     "Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.
  23     I have sworn by Myself; the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath.
  24     He shall say, 'Surely in the LORD I have righteousness and strength. To Him men shall come, and all shall be ashamed who are incensed against Him.
  25     In the LORD all the descendants of Israel shall be justified, and shall glory.'"

A False Prophet will unite the world's religions in the last days. A seven-year peace treaty will be signed by Israel and her neighbors. A Temple will be erected on the Temple Mount. And then 42 months into the treaty the Antichrist and False Prophet will take over the Temple. They will erect an image to the Beast and force everyone to worship the Beast or be killed.

The National Prayer Service was a sign of just how close we are to a unification of all religions under the power of Satan.
