Pagan Temples For Occult Rituals LDS Founder Joseph Smith Junior: "God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! That is the great secret. ... Here then, is eternal life - you have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves ... the same as all Gods have done before you." Journal of Discourses: "Your endowment is to receive all those ordinances in the House of the Lord which are necessary for you, after you have departed this life, to enable you to walk back to the presence of the Father, passing the angels who stand as sentinels, being enabled to give them the key words, the signs and tokens, pertaining to the Holy Priesthood, and gain your eternal exaltation in spite of earth and hell." Second LDS President Brigham Young: "All but Mormons will be damned" Mormon President Hebert C. Kimball: "If you are told by your leader to do a thing, do it. None of your business whether it is right or wrong." Mormonism has all of the attributes of a cult religion including temples for conducting occult initiation rituals. Simularities between Mormonism and the occult include false prophets, false oracles, false prophecies, false revelations, a false belief system, a contrived history and background, pagan ceremonies and temple rituals, secret initiations, and mysteries that go all the way back to the ancient mystery religions of antiquity. Mormon temples are quite different in both design and use from the buildings where Mormons hold their weekly worship services. On Sundays Mormon congregations gather in the local "chapel" or "meeting house" or "ward house" or "church." Mormons go to the temple only on weekdays, never on Sunday. The temples are closed on Sundays. Less than ten percent of all Mormons go to the temple regularly. Temples are closed to the public and also to Mormons who do not qualify as sufficiently "worthy." According to the LDS leadership their temple ceremonies are considered so sacred that Mormons are forbidden to discuss them outside the temple itself. In other words the Mormon authorities would rather the general public not know about the pagan rituals taking place inside their temples. They are trying to cover up the fact that most of the Mormon temple ceremonies have been "borrowed" from the much older Masonry cult. What makes a Mormon temple different from pagan temples of antiquity is a Mormon preoccupation with rituals for the dead. The primary purpose of any pagan temple is to serve as a controlled environment for initiating members into the mysteries of the cult. And all cults have one "mystery" in particular that goes back to the Garden of Eden. The mystery is actually a big lie woven by cults into their belief system. This hidden secret (deception) is that Lucifer is god, Adam and Eve did not sin but fell upward so that they can become gods, and by initiation into the cult mysteries one can also obtain godhood. In ancient times initiates were prepared for ceremonies with wine and intoxicating drinks, special clothing, secret handshakes, code words, hallucinogenic drugs, and improper sexual conduct. Cults follow this up with threats of death should initiates reveal the mysteries. Remove the wine and drugs and you have a picture of what takes place every day except Sunday in Mormon temples. Mormon Masonry Mormon temple rituals were taken directly from the Masonic Lodge (Free and Accepted Masons or Free Masons). Joseph Smith received his first degree in Masonry on March 15, 1842 and the very next day was elevated to 32nd degree sublime Master of the Royal Secret. (See History of the Church (H.C.), Volume 4, page 550, 552). Six weeks later, on May 2, 1842, Smith was teaching these Masonic secrets as his own "revelations" to Mormon leaders as the Mormon Temple Endowment Ceremony (see H.C., Volume 15, Page 2). It was from his association with the Masons that Joseph Smith derived the basic ceremonies and symbols now known as the "Endowment". Basically the early Mormon Masons decided that Masonry would fit in well with their new religion. The first rituals were performed in the very same room that was used for Masonic rituals by the Nauvoo Lodge of Free Masons. Soon plans were drawn up to construct a new building for conducting the Mormon Masonry ceremonies. This became the Nauvoo Mormon Temple. To explain the introduction of this new doctrine to the faithful Joseph went back to the same old story that worked so well in 1830. Then he claimed to restore a lost gospel. Now he clamed to restore the lost origin of Masonry. This gave rise to the new Mormon Masonic rituals based on a "restored" Mason doctrine called the "Power and Priesthoods" of Lucifer. Here are some of the general simularities between Mormonism and Masonry. Keep in mind that Masonic rituals and symbols pre-date the LDS church by several hundred years:
1. Both the Masons and the Mormons have what is called 'the five points of fellowship.'
Lucifer's Mormon Priesthood In Masonry there are two priesthoods, the Aaronic and the Melchizedek. Joseph Smith borrowed from this to say that the priesthoods were restored in 1829 and only the LDS church has them. These two Priesthoods are the source of all authority claimed by Mormons. But there are problems with this. The priesthoods of the Bible were never lost so how can they be restored? Additionally, only descendants from the Hebrew tribe of Levi, a descendant of Aaron, could go into the Levitical priesthood. Modern day candidates for the Aaronic Priesthood are Jews with the last name of Cohen, which means priest. Gentile Mormons do not qualify. Even claims by Mormons to be descendants of the tribe of Ephraim do not grant them the right to the priesthoods. According their own scriptures Ephraim was half-Egyptian, and Egyptians can not hold the priesthood. Mormons can not hold the Melchizedek priesthood either. There is no mention in the New Testament of anyone other than Jesus ever holding the Melchizedek priesthood. The Melchizedek priesthood is nontransferable. Jesus still holds that position. It was never given to Peter or any other Apostle so they could not possibly transfer it to Joseph Smith as he claimed. Therefore, Mormons have no authority since they do not hold the priesthoods. But there is more and this is where things really get weird. Mormons believe that the Priesthoods are from Lucifer. During the Mormon temple Endowment ritual, the Garden of Eden scene, patrons proudly put on fig leaf aprons like one worn by Lucifer. And Lucifer informs them that it is a symbol of his power and Priesthoods. The following are the exact words Mormons use in this ritual. Adam & Eve: "Thou art Lucifer, he who was cast out of Father's presence for rebellion." They recognize the Devil but eat the fruit anyway. Next they hear "Father" (one of many LDS gods) coming back down into the garden. Lucifer: "See, you are naked. Take some fig leaves and make you aprons. Father will see your nakedness. Quick! Hide!" Adam & Eve: "Come let us hide." They listen to the Devil, take his advice, and put on the symbol of his power and Priesthoods. All temple patrons put on fig leaves aprons, like the one Lucifer is wearing. Adam: Challenges Lucifer as to the nature of the apron he is wearing. Lucifer: Arrogantly and proudly replies that it is the "symbol of my power and Priesthoods." Adam: Puzzled like most temple patrons at why they would be asked to wear a symbol of the Devils power and Priesthoods Adam asks, "Priesthoods?" Lucifer: "Yes. Priesthoods." A real Christian would have nothing to do with Lucifer. But Mormons proudly wear his symbol. They are even buried in their little fig leaf aprons. This is in direct conflict with the Holy Bible and even conflicts with other Mormon doctrine. Lucifer is fallen so he can't hold the priesthood? According to Mormon doctrine an unrighteous person can not hold the priesthood (Doctrine and Covenants 121:34-37) If Lucifer has been eternally denied a tabernacle of flesh, how can he hold the priesthood? Mormon doctrine says that the Priesthood requires a physical tabernacle. Why would the Lord allow Lucifer to wear an apron that is the symbol of his Priesthoods? God rejected the fig leaf coverings because they represent the works of the Devil and the flesh that can not cover our sins. Why does the Mormon gospel ask patrons to retain the fig leaf apron of the Devil when the Bible tells us it is unacceptable to God? The sad fact is Mormons worship Lucifer as their god, either willingly or unknowingly. If it were not so they would not proudly wear a symbol of the Devils power and Priesthoods. Wearing of a fig leaf apron has been an important part of almost every pagan temple occult ritual since Babylon John 8:44-45
44 "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
John 5:43-44
43 "I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. (Joseph Smith)
Most Mormons will never know the real occult teachings of the LDS church because they are not considered "worthy" to enter the temple to get "Lucifer's Priesthoods." For thousands of years the big mystery kept by all pagan mystery religions is that Lucifer is a god. Occult teachings always take us back to the Garden of Eden to start their deception. Then by playing semantic word games they attempt to portray good as evil and evil as good. The mysteries do not believe that Adam and Eve sinned. They teach that it was good that they ate from the Tree of Knowledge. They teach that the act of eating the fruit brought enlightenment to mankind. Therefore they demonize God for forbidding Adam and Eve from eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The mysteries go on to worship Satan, the deceiver and enemy of God and mankind, as the god Lucifer, the Angel of Light or the Light-bearer, because he helped Eve eat the forbidden fruit. Few people of sound mind would join these mystery cults like Freemasonry and Mormonism if they knew the mystery before joining the cult. Therefore the cult authority keeps everything secret and uses word redefinition to trick people into worshiping Lucifer as god. And the actual mystery is only revealed to those of the highest order in the cult. In Morals and Dogma, Masonic Grand Commander Albert Pike wrote: "The Masonic Religion should be, by all of us initiates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the Luciferian Doctrine.... Yes Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay is also god... thus the true and pure philosophical religion is the belief in Lucifer, the equal of Adonay; but Lucifer, God of Light and God of Good, is struggling for humanity against Adonay, the God of Darkness and Evil." The truth is the One and Only God forbade Adam and Eve from eating of the Tree of Knowledge. Lucifer is not a god. God created Lucifer. Lucifer is the father of lies and he deceived Eve into sinning against God. Adam listened to his wife instead of God and he ate also. Now God has implemented His restoration plan for fallen man. Jesus Christ is our Savior. In the end Lucifer will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. Mormon Salvation By Temple Works To understand the purpose and use of Mormon temples you must first understand Mormon salvation. Mormons do not believe in salvation through faith, grace, and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. They teach that the blood of Jesus only covered Adam's sins. Mormon salvation is something they can do themselves. Mormons work their way to the "Celestial Kingdom" where they can become a god or goddess. Mormons believe that everyone on earth was first born into a spirit life to a god and goddess. Spirit children then travel to their god's planet, of which there are many in the Mormon universe, to take on a temporal body, experience sin, and start the process of exaltation to godhood. This is referred to as the "Second Estate." They claim that we have lost all memory of our first estate. There are three heavens or "kingdoms" in Mormonism, the Telestial Kingdom, Terrestrial Kingdom, and Celestial Kingdom. This highest kingdom (Celestial) is also divided into three more sections. Mormons believe that everyone who lives and dies on this earth goes to a place called the Spirit Prison, except faithful Mormons, who go straight to the Celestial Kingdom. Very few people actually go to Hell in Mormonism. Hell is reserved for those who leave the LDS church and become Born Again Christians. (Even Hitler has had his proxy work done, and therefore qualifies for a place in the Terrestrial Kingdom.) Mormon Spirit Missionaries go down from Paradise to the Spirit Prison and teach the Gospel of Joseph Smith to the lost souls there. Those who accept Mormonism must remain in prison until a worthy Mormon performs certain essential rituals called "Ordinances" in proxy for them in one of the Mormon temples. Then they are released from Spirit Prison to join the Mormons in Paradise. Since these rituals or ordinances require a physical body to be washed, anointed, and baptized, Mormons perform the rituals for the dead by using by a living person as a proxy in the temple. Over 95% of that activity in Mormon temples are rituals for the dead. This also explains why Mormons have spent so much effort researching genealogies. They are looking for dead relatives in need of proxy rituals. So Mormons teach that we are all resurrected but to different places depending upon how well we have kept Mormon doctrine. The "dishonest, liars, sorcerers, adulterers and whore-mongers" go to the Telestial Kingdom for eternity. People who are basically good, but being "blinded by the craftiness of men" do not become Mormons are sent to the second Mormon kingdom, the Terrestial Kingdom. Only members of the LDS church can get to the Celestial Kingdom. And temple works are required for entrance to one of the three levels of the Celestial Kingdom. And don't forget proxy for the dead can do this. Baptism in the temple gets Mormons to the lowest spot in the Celestial Kingdom. Add magic garment and handshake temple rituals and you get to the middle part in the Celestial Kingdom. If you also go through the ritual of Celestial Marriage in the Polygamy room of the Mormon temple then you can get into the highest part of heaven and become a god or goddess yourself. "Worthy" Mormon women look forward to eternal pregnancy and childbirth. As a goddess they will live with a god and give birth to innumerable spirit children that will continue the man-to-god cycle. "Worthy" Mormon men look forward to playing god with their own planet. They believe all gods have a body of flesh and blood. This enables them to enjoy an eternity of physical relations with innumerable goddess wives. According to Mormonism there will be marriage and Polygamy in heaven. Gee, I wonder what the attraction is here for Mormon men? I am not purposely trying to make fun of Mormons. Jesus died for all our sins. But removing the "church talk" exposes the false doctrine that this cult is built on. I don't need to make any of this up either. Everything I have presented here can be found in official LDS sources. The LDS church actually teaches that salvation comes by way of wearing magic underwear, attaching a green fig leaf apron (a symbol of Lucifer's power and priesthood), and then learning secret Masonic handshakes for use in the afterlife. And of course giving 10% of your income to the LDS authorities is also a requirement. And this last point plays no small part in Mormonism. Now you can begin to see the importance of the Mormon temple in their view of salvation. But God's Temple on the Holy Temple Mount in Jerusalem was strictly about the sacrifice of Jesus as a covering for all sin. Secret handshakes have been used for thousands of years in cult religions but they have nothing to do with salvation. The Mormon Tokens were copied straight from Masonry. There is nothing in the Bible or even the Book of Mormon on temple works. Joseph Smith and the other Mormon Masons wanted to incorporate the Freemasonry teaching of salvation and perfection by way of works into Mormonism. Therefore they added these new doctrines and temple rituals to support this idea.
These doctrines were then backed up with temple rituals to pass on the "secrets" to obtaining godhood. Patrons learn the secret passwords and handshakes needed to enter into the presence of their Mormon god. When Mormons take communion they do so with bread and water. They have replaced grace through faith in the blood of Jesus with their own temple works. Mormons do not understand that our works have nothing to do with salvation. The Temple Entrance Pass Before a Mormon temple is dedicated non-Mormons are permitted to go inside during "open house." But after that only Mormons with a "Temple Recommend" are permitted to enter the temple. To get a Temple Recommend one must pass stringent requirements of "worthiness" determined though a private interview with a Bishop, and then the Stake President. To be worthy a Mormon must meet seventeen areas of criteria including:
Recommends are valid for one year after which the process must be repeated. According to LDS church leaders, less than 20% of adult Mormons have valid Temple Recommends. Believe it or not less than 10% of adult Mormons regularly attend the Temple. To learn how to become "worthy" of their first Temple Recommend Mormons typically attend Temple Preparation Seminars on LDS standards of loyalty, dedication, financial contributions and personal traits of worthiness. The first eleven seminar lessons focus upon personal worthiness required to join the inner circle of "Temple Mormons." The twelfth lesson discusses the actual temple visit without saying much. The initiate is left in the dark on all questions. The curriculum does not talk at all about the temple ceremony. That is kept a mystery until the initiates are actually processed through the rituals and sworn to secrecy. Very little of the temple ceremony is every discussed outside or inside of the temple. This is standard cult practice designed to heighten curiosity without scaring away recruits. Any advance knowledge of the bizarre initiation rituals that await them in the temple and most people would bolt for the door without looking back. Over 50% of the people never return to the temple after their first visit because they find the experience disgusting and embarrassing. Enter A Mormon Temple We have discussed the Mormon doctrine requiring temple works. Now lets enter the temple and see what really goes on inside. Admission A "Temple patron" shows up at a temple with their Temple Recommend in hand. As patrons then enter the Temple they present their "Temple Recommend" to a doorkeeper located immediately inside. They have met the prerequisite for entering the temple, proving that otherwise intelligent persons have agreed to stop thinking for themselves. Proxy Name Slip Most temple rituals involve ceremonies for the dead. So at this point each patron would proceed to a room where they receive the name and birth date of a deceased person. This information is put on a name slip along with the proxy's name. Magic Unerwear The price of admission does not include the cost of the required "Magic Underwear." Those going to the temple for the first time proceed to the Beehive Clothing outlet in the basement of the temple to buy a set of "Magic Underwear" which must be worn for life. In the past Mormons took this so seriously that they would actually try to bath without taking it off. The "garments" consists of a 1- or 2-piece set of underwear, which for both men and women covers the back, chest, and upper arms completely, and the legs down to the knees. They are white (olive for Mormons in the military) and carry four Masonic marks that gives them their "special power." Ritual Clothing Those patrons who do not own the required ritual clothing proceed to a room where Temple clothing may be rented. These include a green fig leaf apron, a pleated cotton robe, a silly looking chef's hat for men or cap for women, a sash, white slippers, socks, pants and a belt for men. These will be put on during the course of the endowment ceremony. Many patrons do not own their own Temple clothing but prefer to rent it as a nominal charge. Each Temple has a large and busy laundry and sewing facility to provide this service. Locker Rooms The patrons are then led to separate men and women dressing rooms where each patron is assigned a locker. Usually locker rooms are identical for men and women with one exception, the bride's rooms. The locker rooms are composed of rows of dressing booths with chest high partitions. The booth contains three tall lockers with locks and keys. There is a space on top of the lockers for suitcases most patrons carry with their own white temple clothing. At this point they are instructed to strip naked. Each person will remove their street clothing and place it in the locker. Next they partially cover their nudity with a poncho of thin cotton completely open on both sides. This poncho is a strip of white sheeting approximately three feet wide by 8 feet long with a head-sized whole in the center. It hangs open at the sides and covers the body front and back. Believe it or not a hospital gown covers more of the body. The patrons then lock their locker and pin the key to their poncho. Apparently they don't put much trust in these "worthy" gods in the making. The initiates, or "Temple patrons," as they are called, are next led to the "washing and anointing" room taking along their temple garment, name slip and locker key. Washing and Anointing At this point patrons join up on a bench outside the washing room to await their turn to enter. What awaits patrons inside is a ceremonial washing and anointing of their private parts by a complete stranger. Can you imagine the shock this is to most people? Up until now initiates have only seen the goody-two-shoes Donny and Marie image of Mormonism. This is typical of pagan cult rituals but has nothing to do with Christianity. Don't spend too much time trying to find this ceremony in the Holy Bible or even the Book of Mormon. It's not there. This was dreamed up in 1842 by the original rat pack. I mean, these "prophets" and gods in the making did not practice what they preached. No, they were enjoying the worldly pleasures of smoking, drinking, treasure hunting, and adultery with literally dozens of women (49 to be exact for Joseph Smith and hundreds for Brigham Young) after supposedly speaking "face to face" with God. I wouldn't be surprise to find that the idea for "anointing" private parts came to the Mormon Masons after a night out with the boys drinking at the Lodge. How else can you explain it? As a patron enters the room a temple worker takes their garment and they proceed to the first section of the room to be washed with water. The worker wets his right hand in running water and proceeds to ceremonially wash the patron body while reciting some ritual words. The worker reaches under the patron's poncho and touches each part of the patron's body with his fingers or hand. The ritual words are: "Brother ________, having authority, I wash you preparatory to your receiving your anointings [alternatively, for and in behalf of ________, who is dead], that you may become clean from the blood and sins of this generation. I wash your head, that your brain and your intellect may be clear and active; your ears, that you may hear the word of the Lord; your eyes, that you may see clearly and discern between truth and error; your nose, that you may smell; your lips, that you may never speak guile; your neck, that it may bear up your head properly; your shoulders, that they may bear the burdens that shall be placed thereon; your back, that there may be marrow in the bones and in the spine; your breast, that it may be the receptacle of pure and virtuous principles; your vitals and bowels, that they may be healthy and strong and perform their proper functions; your arms and hands, that they may be strong and wield the sword of justice in defense of truth and virtue; your loins, that you may be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, that you may have joy and rejoicing in your posterity; your legs and feet, that you may run and not be weary, and walk and not faint." Two temple workers then "seal" the washing by placing their hands upon the patron's head while one of them pronounces the confirmation of the washing. "Brother ________, having authority, we lay our hands upon your head [for and in behalf of ________, who is dead], and seal upon you this washing, that you may become clean from the blood and sins of this generation through your faithfulness, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen." Next, the patron enters the second part of the room where he is seated upon a sort of a tile covered throne chair. Another temple worker pours some drops of oil from a large horn into his hand and proceeds to anoint the patron's body, by dipping his fingers in the oil and touching each part in turn. "Brother ________, having authority, I pour this holy anointing oil upon your head [for and in behalf of ________, who is dead], and anoint you preparatory to your becoming a King and a Priest unto the Most High God, hereafter to rule and reign in the House of Israel forever. I anoint your head, that your brain and your intellect may be clear and active; your ears, that you may hear the word of the Lord; your eyes, that you may see clearly and discern between truth and error; your nose, that you may smell; your lips, that you may never speak guile; your neck, that it may bear up your head properly; your shoulders, that they may bear the burdens that shall be placed thereon; your back, that there may be marrow in the bones and in the spine; your breast, that it may be the receptacle of pure and virtuous principles; your vitals and bowels, that they may be healthy and strong and perform their proper functions; your arms and hands, that they may be strong and wield the sword of justice in defense of truth and virtue; your loins, that you may be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, that you may have joy and rejoicing in your posterity; your legs and feet, that you may run and not be weary, and walk and not faint." The anointing is then sealed by two of the temple workers laying their hands upon the patron's head and one of them pronouncing the confirmation. "Brother ________, having authority we lay hands upon your head [for and in behalf of ________, who is dead], and confirm upon you this anointing, wherewith you have been anointed in the Temple of our God preparatory to becoming a king and a priest unto the Most High God hereafter to rule and reign in the House of Israel forever; and seal upon you all the blessings hereunto appertaining, through your faithfulness, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen." The patron, now washed and anointed, goes to the third section of the room to be clothed in their magic underwear. A temple worker holds the garment open for the patron to step into. He then helps the patron pull the garment up and put his arms in as the worker is giving instructions and a "New Name." "Brother ________, having authority, I place this garment upon you [for and in behalf of ________, who is dead], which you must wear throughout your life. It represents the garment given to Adam when he was found naked in the Garden of Eden, and is called the Garment of the Holy Priesthood. Inasmuch as you do not defile it, but are true and faithful to your covenants, it will be a shield and a protection to you against the power of the destroyer until you have finished your work here on earth. With this garment I give you a new name, which you should always remember, and which you must keep sacred, and never reveal except at a certain place that will be shown you hereafter. The name is "________"." All patrons in the Endowment receive the same "New Name" given out on that day. The name is usually Biblical, such as Abraham, Joseph, Moses for the men, and Martha, Mary, or Naomi for the women. An alternate New Name is provided to those patrons who are representing a dead person whose first name sounds like the New Name in use. The patron now goes back to his locker, removes his poncho shield, and puts on his "whites" which were either rented or bought. This includes white shirt, trousers, belt, socks, tie and moccasins. This is put over the magic underwear. He then carries in his hand any ritual clothing that will be put on later in the ceremony. The women patrons now dress in white slip, long dress, hose and moccasins. Today it is common practice for the Washing, Anointing and Clothing in the Garment of the Holy Priesthood to be performed separately from the Endowment by other proxies. Those who come to the Temple to perform only the Endowment dress in their white Temple clothing and pass through a special booth where they receive the "New Name" on their way to the Endowment rooms. A green or gold name slip containing the name of the dead person is used for these persons. Patrons now pass through a foyer and climb an impressive flight of stairs to reach the Endowment room where they will be segregated by a temple worker, women to the left and men to the right, entering always from the rear, and be seated on richly upholstered theater-type seats. In the past and sometimes in older temples today patrons move from room to room through the various stages of presentation of the Endowment. But today it is more common for patrons to remain in one room throughout the first one and a half hours of the Endowment. This is presented in motion picture form. The secret tokens, names, signs, penalties, prayer circle and veil explanation are presented on a tape recording. The main temple in Salt Lake still has live performances (like they used to be in ancient times) instead of the endowment movie. The Endowment Ceremony For a long time very few people actually knew what went on inside Mormon temples. All rituals are done in secrecy and outsiders are not allowed in to watch. Initiates were put through penalty rituals reenacting various methods of being killed, such as having your throat cut or being disemboweled, should they ever reveal the temple secrets. All that changed in 1984 when someone brought a tape recorder into a Mormon temple and made a recording of their pagan rituals. Now their secrets are not so secret anymore. If you would like to see a transcript of these rituals please click here: THE MORMON TEMPLE ENDOWMENT CEREMONY You may find it very interesting. In the old days this was an actual play with live actors but today it has been converted to a film. Here you will see how Mormonism portrays orthodox Christianity. What you will see is a word by word play acting drama where Lucifer hires Orthodox Christian Ministers to go out and deceive the world with their "false doctrine." Also Peter, John, and James will try to buy the secret "handshakes" needed to get into the Mormon heaven from Adam. It is very amusing but also very sad. I can almost see how ignorant farmers in 1830 may have been duped into believing all this. But I find it hard to believe that a person of normal intellect living in our modern times could buy into such dribble. Soon after these secret Mormon ceremonies came to light they caught the eye of the Internal Revenue Service. In 1990 the IRS had a little talk with the LDS authorities. In exchange for keeping their tax-exempt status the LDS "living prophet" agreed to delete or revise some of the more offensive temple rituals. These supposedly unchangeable temple rituals given to Joseph Smith directly by his god were conveniently changed. This eventually raised so much concern among initiates that today the Endowment video includes an introduction admitting that a few things have been changed. Not much has really changed. It doesn't matter much that new initiates are no longer required to ceremoniously slash their throats. The real problem remains the secret handshakes Mormons sell as a ticket to heaven. "Your endowment is to receive all those ordinances in the House of the Lord which are necessary for you, after you have departed this life, to enable you to walk back to the presence of the Father, passing the angels who stand as sentinels, being enabled to give them the key words, the signs and tokens, pertaining to the Holy Priesthood, and gain your eternal exaltation in spite of earth and hell." - Journal of Discourses, Vol. 2, p.315, April 6, 1853 What a surprise Mormons face on judgement day. The Pre-Initiatiory Ordinances The "Pre-Initiatory Ordinances" of baptism, confirmation, and ordination, are performed only on behalf for the dead in the Temple. Living Mormons receive these Ordinances in their local Ward or Stake organizations. Most adult temple patrons do not participate in these rituals, although teenagers often will be repeatedly and rapidly dunked in en-masse proxy baptisms. Once a member has taken out his own endowment in the endowment ceremony, he may then act as proxy for the dead who did not receive an endowment during life. Most temple visits are proxy endowments. Members usually take out their own endowment preparatory to a mission or temple marriage. Most patrons only participate in their own sealings, or possibly on behalf of close non-Mormon relatives. Baptism Baptism is the first ceremony performed in behalf of the dead in the Temple. This is performed in the beautiful baptismal font mounted on the statues of 12 full sized oxen, located in the Temple basement. The Officiator and the patron are in the font dressed in heavy white jumpsuits. There are two or more Witnesses observing the procedure. Often a closed circuit TV is used to project the names of the deceased persons on a large TV screen. Typically 200-300 baptisms are performed per hour, with LDS teenagers serving as proxies to introduce them into the Temple rituals and vicarious Ordinance work at an impressionable age. The baptismal pronouncement is recited in full for each baptism, and the patron is completely immersed by the Officiator as observed and approved by the two Witnesses. The words of the ordinance are these: "Brother (or Sister) ________, having authority, I baptize you, for and in behalf of ________, who is dead, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen." Next comes the Confirmation for the Dead. This is usually performed at or near the baptismal font, by the same persons who performed the baptism ritual. Confirmation As Mormons And The Holy Ghost The next ritual is Confirmation for the Dead. This makes the deceased person a member of the Mormon church and gives him the Holy Ghost. This is usually performed at or near the baptismal font, by the same persons who performed the baptism ritual. Two or more Temple Workers place their hands on the patron's head while one pronounces the confirmation. "Brother (or Sister) ________, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lay our hands upon your head for and in behalf of ________, who is dead, and confirm you a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and say unto you: Receive the Holy Ghost. Amen." Ordination To The Holy Melchizdek Priesthood The ordination of dead males to the "Holy Melchizedek Priesthood" is usually (but not always) performed in the same area of the Temple by the same proxy. A patron may not receive a proxy Ordinance which he has not received for himself. Therefore LDS teenagers who have not yet received this Ordination may not perform this Temple Ordinance, and adult male patrons must receive this by proxy. Other Temple Workers perform this Ordinance following the Baptism and Confirmation. Two Temple Workers lay their hands upon the patron's head and one of them pronounces the Ordination. "Brother ________, having authority we lay our hands upon your head and confer upon you the Melchizedek Priesthood and ordain you an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for and in behalf of ________, who is dead, and seal upon you every grace, gift and authority appertaining to his office in the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, for and in his behalf, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen." Temple Marriage For Time And Eternity A typical Temple contains from six to twenty Sealing Rooms where marriages and Sealings are performed for the living and the dead. Sealings are performed for couples already married, living or dead, to extend their marriage to eternity. On a typical spring Saturday in Los Angeles from 60 to 100 marriages and Sealings may be performed, mostly for young couples. The Sealing Rooms are elegantly furnished and decorated. The walls are lined with formal dining room type chairs and a beautiful altar is in the center. Two opposing walls are covered with solid mirrors so that one can seem to see "for Eternity" in both directions. The actual ritual or "ordinance" takes approximately two or three minutes to recite. When marriages or sealings for the living are performed they are normally preceded by a discourse or instruction. The room may hold up to 40 friends and family, all of whom must also have Temple Recommends, and who must be dressed in Temple attire. After the preliminary message, two "witnesses" are seated in a special position of honor and the bride and groom kneel on opposite sides of the elegantly upholstered altar and join right hands in the Patriarchal grip. The Sealer stands at the head to the altar and pronounces the ceremony.) SEALER Brother _____ [acting as proxy for ____ who is dead], do you take Sister ____ [acting as proxy for ____ who is dead] by the right hand and receive her unto yourself to be your lawful and wedded wife for time and for all eternity, with a covenant and promise that you will observe and keep all the laws, rites and ordinances pertaining to this Holy Order of Matrimony in the new and everlasting Covenant, and this you do in the presence of God, angels and these witnesses of your own free will and choice? Brother:Yes. SEALER Sister ____ [acting as proxy for ____ who is dead], do you take Brother _____ [acting as proxy for _____, who is dead] by the right hand and give yourself to him to be his lawful and wedded wife, and for him to be your lawful and wedded husband, for time and for all eternity, with a covenant and promise that you will observe and keep all the laws, rites and ordinances pertaining to this Holy Order of Matrimony in the new and everlasting Covenant: and this you do in the presence of God, angels and these witnesses of your own free will and choice? Sister: Yes SEALER By virtue of the Holy Priesthood and the authority vested in me, I pronounce you ______, and ______, legally and lawfully husband and wife for time and for all eternity, and I seal upon you the blessings of the holy resurrection with power to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection clothed in glory, immortality and eternal lives, and seal upon you the blessings of kingdoms, thrones, principalities, powers, dominions, and exaltations, with all the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and say unto you, be fruitful and multiply an replenish the earth, that you may have joy an rejoicing in the day of the Lord Jesus Christ. All these blessings, together with all the blessings appertaining unto new and everlasting covenant, and I seal upon you by virtue of the Holy Priesthood, through your faithfulness, in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost, Amen. (The parties then kiss each other over the altar which ends the ceremony. No exchange of rings is included in the ceremony, but may be done after the ceremony. The couple is then congratulated by their guests and the Sealer and the party leaves to change to street clothing. Sealing of Children to Parents Ceremony The children of couples sealed to each other, i.e., "born in the covenant," are automatically sealed to the parents. Children of non-sealed parents must be sealed to their parents by a special ceremony, or else they will never see each other in the after life. These children are normally sealed to their parents immediately following the Sealing ceremony of the parents to each other. The children may not be present for the parent's sealing, but are brought in, dressed in white, while the parents are still kneeling at the altar. The parents are moved to the ends of the rectangular altar and the children kneel along the sides where the parents were. The parents join hands in the Patriarchal grip and the Children place their right hand in the top of the parents hands, starting with the oldest child. The Officiator then stands behind the father and pronounces the ceremony SEALER By the authority of the Holy Priesthood, I seal you _____ [acting as proxy for and in behalf of ______], to your father _____ ant to your mother _____, for time and all eternity, as an heir (or heirs) (with all the children) as though you were born in the new and everlasting covenant, in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, Amen. Is Mormonism Christian? I hope the above information has helped some of you answer this question. Learning Masonic handshakes is not going to get anyone into heaven. The blood of Jesus is what justified us back to God. The Lord is our Kinsman Redeemer. He paid the price for us. Salvation is a gift from God. Without a doubt Mormonism is not Christian. Mormonism is a pagan religion based on the ancient mystery cults. Joseph Smith Jr. was a false prophet, and the Book of Mormon is a fraud. I have found the truth and it is the Gospel of Jesus Christ found in the Holy Bible. Romans 6:23 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, Galations 1:1-8
