California Power Crisis Another Energy Scam By John Roberts, January 31, 2001 What is the significance and relevance of this story to last days prophecy? Prophecy tells us that we will never see a man-made paradise on earth. Jesus is the Savior of the world and when He returns He will set up the promised kingdom for a thousand years. But first there must be a falling away from God. You can see that now. People have no sense of right and wrong. These power companies do not care about you and I. They are only interested in lifting money out of your pocket. If that means turning off the power to hospitals, schools, homes and business with rolling blackouts then they will go right ahead and do it. This is being done to condition you to accept their outrageous prices for energy. They can get away with it because Pete Wilson deregulated the power industry and there is no competition to keep them honest. This is all a sign of the last days. "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 3:1-7
